oops (Oops), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 01:09 (twenty-two years ago)

And there you have it.

stephen morris, Tuesday, 20 January 2004 01:10 (twenty-two years ago)

I never, ever use my capslock key. I should really reassign it to do something else.

Strangely, my girlfriend uses capslock to write all her capitals. (including those on names, the beginning of sentences, etc) Yes, I do mock her for this.

Andrew (enneff), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 01:31 (twenty-two years ago)

(She's not some shitcunt typist, though. She can touchtype 'officially' except for this minor quirk.)

Andrew (enneff), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 01:32 (twenty-two years ago)

OMG WTF?!?

Eisbär (llamasfur), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 01:36 (twenty-two years ago)

How do you know they weren't all done with shift, huh?

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 01:54 (twenty-two years ago)

Wait, so she presses CAPS LOCK, types the initial letter, then presses CAPS LOCK again to turn it off?

jaymc (jaymc), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 03:51 (twenty-two years ago)

i like the shift key better.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 04:31 (twenty-two years ago)

Wait, so she presses CAPS LOCK, types the initial letter, then presses CAPS LOCK again to turn it off?

Uh, isn't that what you do with the shift key?

tweemu (Jody Beth Rosen), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 04:35 (twenty-two years ago)

I mean you don't click the shift key off, but doing that with CAPS LOCK is a half-second more work. What's the big deal?

tweemu (Jody Beth Rosen), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 04:35 (twenty-two years ago)

BUT SOMETIMS THINGZ ARE LOUD AND NEED LOUDNESS.

Aaron W (Aaron W), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 04:37 (twenty-two years ago)

If you type quickly it becomes as much of a reflex as anything else.

tweemu (Jody Beth Rosen), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 04:37 (twenty-two years ago)

I know, I know, BUT ISN"T IT CRAZY?

jaymc (jaymc), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 05:12 (twenty-two years ago)

(and see, I used the shift key there)

jaymc (jaymc), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 05:12 (twenty-two years ago)

If you hold ctrl and push the scroller button on your mouse (if your mouse has one) the letters'll get all big or all small, dependin'. That's kinda like CAPS LOCK.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 05:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Wait, so she presses CAPS LOCK, types the initial letter, then presses CAPS LOCK again to turn it off?

Yes.

Andrew (enneff), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 05:40 (twenty-two years ago)

And, as I say, I am the reverse. I NEVER, EVER USE IT. EVEN NOW I AM HOLDING THE SHIFT KEY AND STILL TYPING AT 100 WPM!

Andrew (enneff), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 05:41 (twenty-two years ago)

(I am your new God.)

Andrew (enneff), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 05:41 (twenty-two years ago)

THANKS FOR TYPING IN CAPS, I AM BLIND!
