Well, not 'at you', at people walking past your desk.

I'm looking for something that's a bit organic (although based on maths), i.e that is always similar but never repeats itself.

http://www.artworks.co.uk/index2.htm
(colette's boyf to thread - he used to work there. company went on to write The Thing.)
the Really Slick screensavers are worth persevering with (also available for linux btw). It's probably just an opengl problem. Mmm, donuts...
if you like koi carp then http://www.screengardens.com/ is the place for you. opengl again though so...
i'm using the one that comes with windows called, confusingly, Windows98 (flying boxes) on the windows pc and this:

on the linux pc (looks better moving).

Don't bother with Version 2 - or maybe you should and you'll have better luck with it.
With the original, you can go into your screen saver settings and play around with all of the options.
And then you'll sit and stare and stare and stare and everyone will think you have the coolest screen saver on the block.
(And no fractals, but pretty and scientific looking.)

Okay, i need a modern version of After Dark. There were at least two great screens on there, one called 'Starry Night' or somesuch of a city skyline at night, and the other of a fractal forest that would generate in different colors depending on the season.
Can anybody help me out here?
