this is the thread where nyc-area posters plan to eat loads at pearson's barbecue, located in the back of legends sports bar in queens. anyone up for this on saturday?
vegetarians, fear not - there's plenty of sides, including the world's best onion rings, to enjoy.

I have just booked hotel so I need to get from Port Authority to there with my luggage - prob. taxi, depending on suitcase situation - before I go to Queens. Would anyone like to meet me at the hotel, or at the subway? Now that I've booked, I will try to email people ... this is a working email account in this post, I will have fairly regular email access until Saturday morning, if anyone wants to get hold of me or make suggestions.

I'm going to be in NYC until Monday evening so there's lots of time for other meetups. I'm going to the museum with my brother on Sunday afternoon (I think, not confirmed yet) but other than that, I'm open to suggestions!

I am sorry to say I will be away this weekend until Sunday. But I believe that there were mutterings of perhaps a lowkey Sunday get together in a bar in Brooklyn (during what they call here the Superbowl, very close to the city). This bar has the best jukebox and is close to my house so win win!

We were just going to go to give us something to do. The Boroughs are just a frame of mind. This place in Brooklyn is probably easier to get to than 70% of places in Manhattan.

it's either 435 or 437 graham avenue. i never remember which, but the two addresses are right next to each other and one is clearly an apt. building while the other is clearly a bar. cross streets are frost and richardson, and it's about a five minute walk from the graham avenue l-train (north, towards the bqe).

Across the street from La Piazetta restaurant. 6 blocks from the L train on Metropolitan Ave. If you're coming from Manhattan, you take the L to Graham (3rd stop in Bklyn), exit the stairwell to the RIGHT. At the top of the stairs, turn your body to the left so you're facing the nail salon. Walk 6 blocks in that direction (North).
