How often do you compose a new answer and then give up on it?

I've done it four times today already. I read the answer I've typed and then think "god, that's a pointless comment on an already overcrowded thread" and hit the Back button without posting it.

I'm not the only one who does this, right?

Every so

Llahtuos Kcin (Nick Southall), Friday, 30 January 2004 16:18 (twenty-two years ago)

often.

Llahtuos Kcin (Nick Southall), Friday, 30 January 2004 16:18 (twenty-two years ago)

I do it quite often. Especially if I'm replying to someone that I really shouldn't be replying to.

The River Kate (kate), Friday, 30 January 2004 16:18 (twenty-two years ago)

Can i just say that I have just worked out what Nick's name is all about. I am a cretin.

Dave B (daveb), Friday, 30 January 2004 16:21 (twenty-two years ago)

It's actually quite satisfying to type out a rude and insulting answer to an idiot, and then just abandon it. The problems start when I slip and click "submit" instead of back to "New Answers"...

The River Kate (kate), Friday, 30 January 2004 16:23 (twenty-two years ago)

Pretty frequently, every day just about.

JuliaA (j_bdules), Friday, 30 January 2004 16:26 (twenty-two years ago)

I've just done that about six times on this thread alone. I also can't believe I'm going to click submit on this post, but I really need some closure. So I can move on.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Friday, 30 January 2004 18:31 (twenty-two years ago)

all the time.

latebloomer (latebloomer), Friday, 30 January 2004 18:38 (twenty-two years ago)

I do that a lot, usually when I'm about to make a comment that could result in unnecessary arguing that gets nasty, but let me tell you something, arseholes......you are all

Gear! (Gear!), Friday, 30 January 2004 18:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Not often enough. When it comes down to it I usually think something like "no no, don't second guess yourself. They really like your stories about shitting your pants and having girls slice your cock open with their teeth" which I s'pose is a little glitch in my brain that I'm hoping the surgery will fix.

Bryan (Bryan), Friday, 30 January 2004 18:44 (twenty-two years ago)

The last one was "G-g-g-g-g-g-geeeeeeeeeeeeeee protection!" on the G-Protection thread, but then I realised that it wasn't funny.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Friday, 30 January 2004 18:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Fairly often, because I decide my comments are blaise and contentless.

Jordan (Jordan), Friday, 30 January 2004 18:47 (twenty-two years ago)

Almost every time.

Paul Eater (eater), Friday, 30 January 2004 19:35 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes, most of the time. It's no fun being stuck for words.

jel -- (jel), Friday, 30 January 2004 19:55 (twenty-two years ago)

All the time.

Sean (Sean), Friday, 30 January 2004 19:59 (twenty-two years ago)

my instincts are screaming for me not to post this, but...
way more than i actually post.

Felonious Drunk (Felcher), Friday, 30 January 2004 21:17 (twenty-two years ago)

I probably don't do it enough.

jim wentworth (wench), Saturday, 31 January 2004 04:01 (twenty-two years ago)

haha i don't even know whether it's worth it to respond to THIS thread

jody (Jody Beth Rosen), Saturday, 31 January 2004 04:07 (twenty-two years ago)

NA (Nick A.), Saturday, 31 January 2004 06:00 (twenty-two years ago)

ipsofacto (ipsofacto), Saturday, 31 January 2004 08:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Markelby (Mark C), Saturday, 31 January 2004 18:17 (twenty-two years ago)

.5% of the time.

Aja (aja), Saturday, 31 January 2004 18:18 (twenty-two years ago)

Llahtuos Kcin (Nick Southall), Saturday, 31 January 2004 18:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Sorry.

Llahtuos Kcin (Nick Southall), Saturday, 31 January 2004 18:20 (twenty-two years ago)

What?

Llahtuos Kcin (Nick Southall), Saturday, 31 January 2004 18:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Shut up and leave me alone!

Aja (aja), Saturday, 31 January 2004 18:22 (twenty-two years ago)

See, Aja, it IS annoying, isn't it?

Markelby (Mark C), Saturday, 31 January 2004 18:28 (twenty-two years ago)

But when he does it, it's for no reason except to make fun of me.

I only ask what once for what I don't understand.

Aja (aja), Saturday, 31 January 2004 18:29 (twenty-two years ago)

I rarely do it, and I rarely proofread.
