Do you feel bad for weeds?

There's these small, non-descript yet attractive plants growing in the shade on the back courtyard, and they're always persectued as unwanted weeds. But as soon as they're torn out, it's just bare, institutional looking concrete. I prefer the weeds to nothing at all.

I like dandelions, too, and the russian thistle is a magnificent looking plant.

Why all the weed haterz? Who decides if a plant passes aesthetic muster?

Por ejemplo: Roses have blossoms, thorns and inedible berries, and are beloved.

Blackberries have blossoms, thorns, and delicious, beautiful berries and are hated and attacked.

Why?

Because some weeds choke out all the other plants as they take root in foreign lands.
