Enough of us play PC games here. Why not pick a game or three to see if we can get a few of us beating the hell out of each other, or doing some co-op thing?

pick a game: Diablo 2, Counterstrike, City of Heroes, Wolfenstein, etc.

I'm up for BF1942 Desert Combat, C&C Generals. (When/If my 9700Pro gets back from Crucial and I can stop using this shitty GF2MX400.

Im addicted to Battlefield 1942, and have been for about 9 months. BF Vietnam sucks asshole.

I cant dig on any other games at the moment, for whatever reason.

unfortunately, overloading on used games at Electronics Boutique last week has pushed back any additional purchases. I still need to beat:

1. half life (again)
2. diablo 2:LoD
3. Undying
4. Homeworld
5. Fallout 2

yeah BF vietnam is pretty bad...except for the helicopters which are pretty cool (my vocabulary is very impressive...it's the vocabulary of the hip sad bastards)

BF2 is coming out eventually, and its basically just a ripoff of the Desert Combat mod...its all gulf war type scenarios. I have a decent system, and BF Vietnam kills me...i have to drop everything down/resolution. Its just crap. Why a 9600XT/256MB cant handle that game, I dont know.

It was high/midrange when BFV came out. Now though, you are right. I just cant see spending $250+ on a vid card. Thats absurd.

nowadays it's the videocard that's the bottleneck in 3d gaming, so you're best off getting the best you can afford, even if it means paying slightly more than you'd like to. i got 5900xt because it is (was) the close-to-high-end card at mid-range price. and it overclocks like a muthafucker, so you totally get your money's worth. and with the new generation appearing now, they'll be dropping in price anytime now.

well, i don't like BF 42 too much, i must say... i don't find it as good as CoD... then again i must admit i haven't played it online too often.
