On this thread we are complacent.

I might vote tomorrow, I might not. The right guy/bird 'll get in anyway. I trust the other voters. They're funky.

Patrick Kinghorn, Wednesday, 9 June 2004 23:43 (twenty-two years ago)

I heartily endorse this event or product.

I'm sure England FC will do great on Sunday. They're wearing Nike Blades aren't they? They'll do fine. I reckon Henry will have a dicky tummy before the match.

Patrick Kinghorn, Wednesday, 9 June 2004 23:47 (twenty-two years ago)

You chaps need to stop worrying so much about Iraq. The guys in charge know what they're doing. You don't get to be the president, or in the president's cabinet if you're some kind of malignant small-eyed buffoon! It'll go super, just you wait and see.

Patrick Kinghorn, Wednesday, 9 June 2004 23:52 (twenty-two years ago)

meh

mullygrubber (gaz), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 23:53 (twenty-two years ago)

is this like the alanis morrissette version of complacent?

the surface noise is so overwhelming that it renders the contents of the re (ele, Wednesday, 9 June 2004 23:53 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah probably. I'm assuming so. WWill you insult me if I don't look up the definition? Oh well I suppose I deserve it.

Patrick Kinghorn, Wednesday, 9 June 2004 23:55 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm not sure if we need dictionaries really. Let's all make up our own languages! That'll work just as well. Trust me on this.

Patrick Kinghorn, Wednesday, 9 June 2004 23:56 (twenty-two years ago)

(don't you see, it is an act of complacency for me to place this on ilx, where it'll get shot down by some hipster asshole complaining about my incorrect usage of the word, ah, ah DO YOU SEE?)

Patrick Kinghorn, Thursday, 10 June 2004 00:00 (twenty-two years ago)

I need sleep.

Patrick Kinghorn, Thursday, 10 June 2004 00:00 (twenty-two years ago)

Meh but I think I'll stay up. My body'll compensate for the lack of slumber somehow. Yawn.

Patrick Kinghorn, Thursday, 10 June 2004 00:02 (twenty-two years ago)

i have to go put my laundry in the dryer now. doing laundry is fun!

Yeah!

I'm quite fond of US English.

New No New Age Advanced Ambient Motor Music Almanac (Autumn Almanac), Thursday, 10 June 2004 00:07 (twenty-two years ago)

x-post You're right. I'm going to spend the next 8 hours in the launderette.
I doubt i'll need to go to the toilet. Also if anyone wants me i'm sure they'll figure I'm down here.

Patrick Kinghorn, Thursday, 10 June 2004 00:07 (twenty-two years ago)

What is this ILX laundry nite? My stuff has another 20 mnutes in the dryer and then - while folding, I'm sure I will drop something all nice and clean on my somewhat-less-than-sterile cellar floor. Guaranteed. Cheers.

jim wentworth (wench), Thursday, 10 June 2004 01:33 (twenty-two years ago)

I notice ILM has not had any threads yet on the new Peter Andre record. I will spend tomorrow rectifiying this.

de, Thursday, 10 June 2004 01:41 (twenty-two years ago)

I like Sancerre much more than Sauvignon.

AdamL :') (nordicskilla), Thursday, 10 June 2004 01:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Lord of the Rings Trilogy - now that really was a pinnacle of filmmaking. I don't think you could have said more about the
nature of life, art, cinema, sexuality, or indeed all the things that are actually worth a damn in life if you tried.

de, Thursday, 10 June 2004 01:56 (twenty-two years ago)

I just put all my money into the internet.

AdamL :') (nordicskilla), Thursday, 10 June 2004 01:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Cool! I don't see how that can fail. Would you do the same for me if I forwarded you a couple of cheques?

de, Thursday, 10 June 2004 02:03 (twenty-two years ago)

Pfft. Unlike all of you small-time investors, *I* have an in with some big players in Nigeria. They got in touch with me personally, you know. The deal can hardly fail, given the top people involved.

(puffs cigar)

DougD, Thursday, 10 June 2004 02:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Haha! That was me about two weeks ago. Everybody laughed at me.

AdamL :') (nordicskilla), Thursday, 10 June 2004 02:31 (twenty-two years ago)

I shouldn't think that meant anything. It was probably disguised jealousy which came out as uncontrollable laughter. Almost certainly.

Patrick Kinghorn, Thursday, 10 June 2004 11:53 (twenty-two years ago)

This global warming thing will turn itself around. These things always do.

Aimless (Aimless), Thursday, 10 June 2004 15:08 (twenty-two years ago)

I really have no ability to be complacent.

hstencil (hstencil), Thursday, 10 June 2004 15:10 (twenty-two years ago)

Pension? Pah! Something will come along.

holojames (holojames), Friday, 11 June 2004 17:54 (twenty-two years ago)

dave225 (Dave225), Friday, 11 June 2004 18:17 (twenty-two years ago)

GET A DICTIONARY!

NA (Nick A.), Friday, 11 June 2004 18:19 (twenty-two years ago)

that's not the command of a complacent being now, is it ...

dave225 (Dave225), Friday, 11 June 2004 18:31 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm sure I will drop something all nice and clean on my somewhat-less-than-sterile cellar floor. Guaranteed. Cheers.

Jim do not leave this narrative hanging!

vleeetrmx21 (Leee), Friday, 11 June 2004 23:02 (twenty-two years ago)

Looks like we've seen the last of that Calum fellow.
Aaah.

Patrick Kinghorn, Friday, 11 June 2004 23:12 (twenty-two years ago)

As it turned out, nothing fell on the floor. But I did a nice little trip up the stairs with the laundry basket after stepping on the cat. She should be ok. Right? Good cat screech, though. My nerves were rattled for a moment and then I remembered how complacent I am these days and sank back into the lap of luxury that is ILX.
