You know, slackjaws... walking around with their jaws hanging loose so the mouth is always open. Is this a physical difference or are they just too lazy to shut the trap? Nicholas Cage pulls this look off pretty well.

This was me for years, it wasn't so long ago that it was sort of incomprehensible to me to think of keeping my jaw shut all the time. but now I just grind my teeth constantly. hnnlfhlfg

Many of Dean & Nigel's subject are guilty of this... but they'll open their mouths whether or not the subject has his open, to more cruelly mock I guess.

This describes absolutely EVERYONE in Archie comics. Go ahead and look. I dare you. Also, Jug's eyes are almost always closed.

But for them (and almost all Herge characters) it seemed more like an expression of mirth and/or wonder more than just stupidity like Jughead. He is called Jughead, after all.

andy, Monday, 14 June 2004 21:37 (twenty-two years ago)

Shit yes, I buy the Double Digests! I've started buying the regular digests too recently, but they still seem like a waste of money.
