Search: C-Man threads. Usually funny, informative and full of hilarious bickering between ILX regulars who fight over what to do about future C-Man threads.

Destroy: Any posts or threads with the words "Ned" and "Raggett" in them.

That's just my opinion though.

C-Man (C-Man), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 13:46 (twenty-one years ago)

Calum is a bit like Momus.

Markelby (Mark C), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 13:51 (twenty-one years ago)

I've been saying that for years.

My New Identity (kate), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 13:51 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't think calum is at all like momus.

Pashmina (Pashmina), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 13:56 (twenty-one years ago)

Ah, my my my C-Man, trying so hard to be nice to these people. Admit it, you think they're all fucking Munts as well.

But one does suppose there are degrees to one's muntiness, and if one may pontificate obtusely for a moment, some of these munts aren't as bad as Ned, who was born ugly thanks to being delivered by the acid vagina of satan himself.

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 1 July 2004 07:15 (twenty-one years ago)

The tragedy for Calum-and-Ned is that they are no longer the main plot line in the soap opera. ILX is suddenly more interesting than it's been in months. I used to talk about ostranenie, but now it's actually happened. I used to talk about the 'troll' as creative 'dark angel' or 'hacker'. Calum was sadly unfit for the role, but now we really do have a dark angel hacker who knows all sorts of code tricks and has raised disruption to an art. There used to be some rather snotty, arrogant and pompous people around intent on teaching people like me a lesson (about politics, philosophy, or whatever they considered themselves infallible on). Now there is simply pandemonium. Nobody is wrong or right, nobody is moderator or troll. Everything is permitted, and the chaos is beautiful. Viva Nu-ILX, best it's ever been!

Momus exhibiting the Uranian/Aquarian idealization of anarchy yet again, i love it =)

Vic, Thursday, 1 July 2004 11:10 (twenty-one years ago)

"Munt" is quite an unusual term, isn't it? I mean, it's not a commonplace word, perhaps unless one is from a particular geographic location. Where do you think one may commonly hear the term "Munt" used in conversation, calum?

Pashmina (Pashmina), Thursday, 1 July 2004 11:15 (twenty-one years ago)

Is it perhaps a contraction of "munter" a slang term used to denote someone as unnattractive?

Matt (Matt), Thursday, 1 July 2004 11:17 (twenty-one years ago)

I'd never heard of it Norm. It just sounds really funny.

C-Man (C-Man), Thursday, 1 July 2004 11:22 (twenty-one years ago)

ILX lately reminds me of that time Tommy Cooper died on stage but everyone thought it was part of the act so they just kept on laughing and clapping.

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 1 July 2004 11:25 (twenty-one years ago)

It always 'was' part of his act before. That's why they laughed.

mark grout (mark grout), Thursday, 1 July 2004 11:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Munter/munting has been a common term for years tho it seemed to spread regionally. i never heard it until around 5 years ago, and i never heard 'minging' until 8 years ago tho i'm sure it's older.

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 1 July 2004 11:28 (twenty-one years ago)

It was always moose when I was at school. I think I prefer moose, on reflection.

Matt (Matt), Thursday, 1 July 2004 11:29 (twenty-one years ago)

"Minger" I sometimes hear used around gere (n e england) "munter" I've never heard of before ned's h@t@ used it the other day.

Pashmina (Pashmina), Thursday, 1 July 2004 11:31 (twenty-one years ago)

munted means drunk, though.

ken c (ken c), Thursday, 1 July 2004 11:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Not here it doesn't.

Matt (Matt), Thursday, 1 July 2004 11:33 (twenty-one years ago)

richard gere?

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 1 July 2004 11:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Richard Gere Hongro.

Sick Mouthy (Nick Southall), Thursday, 1 July 2004 11:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Munter is specifically a sexual morally lax unattractive person, though. Hence the term "Bargain Munter", one who is as "cheap as chips".

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Thursday, 1 July 2004 11:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Richard Gear!

ken c (ken c), Thursday, 1 July 2004 11:36 (twenty-one years ago)

That sounds about right. And we've all learned something today.

Matt (Matt), Thursday, 1 July 2004 11:37 (twenty-one years ago)

Gear! Hongro; "This ass-sex is not melodic enough, it is too rhythmic. In fact, it isn't actually ass-sex at all. It doens't even have a truckerhat on."
