My friend is visiting NYC from aug 17-22, Hamptons thereafter. What's really hot to do in that time pocket in NYC? BTW you NY ilxors should really try to hang with her because she is a 4'11 90-pound uncannily close Kirsten Dunst goppelganger and it'd be good for your public image. Holla

If I was back in NYC I might be checkin out Magnetic Field in Brook-nam on either that Friday or Saturday night, they've got good parties hosted by WFMU freaks and it's usually free.

PS1 in Queens also has these DJs that Saturday (during the day): "DJ Kent (Force of Nature, Japan), KZA (Force of Nature, Japan), DJ Spun (Rong Music)" - no idea who they are but once you're inside you can check out the exhibitions!

happy ending on broome street has been the tuesday night fashioned-out hipster scum/low-level nyc scenester celebutante hangout of late. it's absolutely rammed, and can be fun depending on your mood and tolerance for such events. you'll either have a great time and end up at an israeli talent scout's apartment until 7am doing blow, or you'll run screaming two seconds after setting foot in the bar.

lauren (laurenp), Monday, 16 August 2004 14:08 (twenty-one years ago)

whoa. I hope the former didn't happen to you!

hstencil (hstencil), Monday, 16 August 2004 14:15 (twenty-one years ago)

Just posted this in style, making sure some more people see it:

Hey if any of you living in the NYC area would like to get free food and drinks (no admission fee either by the way), I'd be honored if you could join me at an event we're hosting at a venue overlooking MSG. We'll be selling everything from our collection with a 20% discount, but if you want to just come hang out that would be great too. We could use some help spreading the word so if you have friends that you think would like to attend please let them know, and thanks in advance for doing so!

Here is the website (again):

www.claudiapatel.com

Here are the details of the event:

June 5th (this Tuesday) 3:30pm - 8:00pm
251 west 30th st, 16th floor
NYC

Hope to see you! If you come by be sure to say hi to me.
