Who should I see at V Festival?

I'm going with Oxfam, so I havn't really studied the line-up. Apart from the Pixies, I have no idea what I'll like and won't like. I mean, I like the Strokes 'n' all, but whether or not they're worth seeing live I dunno. Also, who's good that I've never heard of?

Ugh I'm less than impressed with the line-up, only going on Sunday cos couldn't get tix to see the Pixies at Brixton, fuck all else on it seems, 3 of the bands I'd like to see are on at the same time (Massive Attack/Primal Scream/Strokes) and apart from that I'd only want to see the Concretes, Audio Bullys possibly, Fountains Of Wayne over the entire day.

I'm not remotely surprised, because it's V, and V SUCKS. Stupid Pixies not playing enough UK dates.

Grumble.

Why couldn't Basement Jaxx play on Sunday? And the Human League. That would be much more fun.

Yeah I'm tempted to throw bottles of wee at Jamie Cullum. I've seen Fountains Of Wayne at least 4 times already but may as well watch them again.

It's good really though cos my missus isn't that well this week so she won't want to go traipsing all over the place watching bands all day. We'll probably just sit wherever Fountains of Wayne are playing and get stoned all day until the Pixies are on!

I have no idea how we're going to get back to London afterwards...

All those who are going, come and see me at the Oxfam tent. We'll be selling festival sundries ( come to us for all your blanket needs!) and who knows - I might be there.

I AM looking forward to seeing the pixies, I must say. I hope they're as good as I want them to be.
