Would you actually purchase & wear a t-shirt supporting the election of a political candidate?

This occured to me when I had wondered how much I'd have to contribute to a certain prez campaign to get a t-shirt featuring the candidate's smiling visage. Would you actually cough up the dough for one and wear it? Sincerely or ironically?

Then again, I've also attended a campaign rally for Al Sharpton earlier this year at Eastern Michigan University for the express purpose of acquiring an "Al Sharpton for President" shirt. That probably leans towards the "ironic" side of motivations.

What if it's the case where you never would ever consider wearing one, however a particular election is coming up and you support the election of one candidate(or detest the election of the _other_ guy) so strongly that you're now in the "gimme a shirt--i'ma wear it at work" camp?

only for an election that was long over, maybe. I saw a guy in a Dukakis shirt the other day though, I'd never wear that.

I've got a "Kerrey for President" shirt that I like to wear these days. It's from 1992, though.

Do Iron Maiden count as a political party? And if not, why not?

Anything after an election, I'd use or wear just out of my general interest for anything political. I can pretend that drinking out of a "Helms '86" coffee mug would be like drinking out of Jesse Helms' SKULL.

Before an election, I'd think twice about flashing signs and colors for a candidate that I didn't support. I don't know how much sway t-shirts pull over the undecided voters, but you never know.

Driving through Louisiana a few years ago, I could still spot a few DUKE signs. Those seem like they could be collector's items, but surely wasn't worth my time to stop the car, get out, and put my hands on the filthy things.
