That's why I left

Jimmy Mod, Man About Towne (ModJ), Monday, 23 August 2004 02:17 (twenty-one years ago)

I detest, no, I abhor summer. *twists mustache*

Actually, it's just the humidity I can't stand.

joseph pot (STINKORâ„¢), Monday, 23 August 2004 02:22 (twenty-one years ago)

wait are you telling me it's not the heat?

s1ocki (slutsky), Monday, 23 August 2004 02:24 (twenty-one years ago)

IMPOSSIBLE

s1ocki (slutsky), Monday, 23 August 2004 02:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Actually it was cool and wet in the northeastern US. I feel gyped.

jim wentworth (wench), Monday, 23 August 2004 02:26 (twenty-one years ago)

I've been to Texas in the dead of summer, and as hot as it was there, the sopping wet, forehead-dripping, pit-staining, swamp-ass humidity was amazingly absent. so, yes.

joseph pot (STINKORâ„¢), Monday, 23 August 2004 02:38 (twenty-one years ago)

dog latin (dog latin), Monday, 23 August 2004 06:58 (twenty-one years ago)

Summer was May and June in Devon this year. Being woken at 5am by heavy rain would be wrong if it didn't happen every year.

Jimmybommy JimmyK'KANG (Nick Southall), Monday, 23 August 2004 07:00 (twenty-one years ago)

Good. This has been a really shitty summer, in so many ways. I don't like summer anyway, I can't wait for it to be autumn.

And, as I keep saying, the rain means that god is on my side. Let it come down.

Super-Masonic Black Hole (kate), Monday, 23 August 2004 08:00 (twenty-one years ago)

Clear, sunny, warm mornings cheer me up no end, so some more of those would be good

the neurotic awakening of s (blueski), Monday, 23 August 2004 08:02 (twenty-one years ago)

Fuck this summer. Fuck it with knives. This morning I got completely soaked to the skin in a downpour for what feels like the tenth time this summer - I don't remember this happening at all between September and April.

Also, being unable to walk during the best spell of weather we've had all year didn't really help. Its been a lot of fun, fantastic even, in places, but I can't help the feeling I'm passing it by.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Monday, 23 August 2004 08:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Surely doing your leg in has ultimately turned out for the best, Matt? You're not telling me you regret it?

Alba (Alba), Monday, 23 August 2004 08:09 (twenty-one years ago)

I am now rapturously in love with a beautiful pure-hearted nurse, and she is to be my wife. So no.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Monday, 23 August 2004 08:16 (twenty-one years ago)

Congratulations on yr engagement MDC.

Ricardo (RickyT), Monday, 23 August 2004 08:17 (twenty-one years ago)

One of these days I'll have to get over my crippling inertia and stop hanging round the hospital car park at 11pm just as she gets off work, and actually talk to her. But oh, when I do, it will be wonderful.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Monday, 23 August 2004 08:18 (twenty-one years ago)

Summer never bloody started for me. Hopefully by the time autumn comes I'll be finished.

Marcello Carlin, Monday, 23 August 2004 08:20 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm looking forward to the Autumn. September is the first month of the year as far as I'm concerned. Not been a bad summer really, not too many hot dusty depressing days to get through, work has been way too quiet though and that hasn't been fun at all. Anyway, back to uni soon, and I have the excitement of a library move (my 4th!!!) and an intranet site to make.

The conkers look really big this year, and the everything is still green, not a yellowy dustbowl like last year. And England won 7 tests in a row.
