A few years ago i saw the documentary Chicken Hawk (about pedophiles that are members of NAMBLA) in a p0rn theatre. This made the experience even creepier knowing that the next night it would be back to regular fare.

What other films (docos, fiction, anything really) would be more disturbing if shown in those surroundings?

I don't think I actually know what a porn theatre is like. Are they aesthetically different to regular theatres or are they the same only covered in love stains? Do they have stadium seating? Wheelchair access?

there are hardly any porn theaters in the US anymore. Don't know if it's the same in Canada (tho I didn't notice any last time I was there).

I saw "Meet the Feebles" in an old p0rn theatre in Vancouver (not defunct though - it still showed the p0rn every day). It was like all the ickiness in the theatre fused with all the ickiness in the film, and then wrapped its slimy self around me (and a lot of other people). (Though I still came away thinking the film was good - just really, well, grimy/icky/gross, and moreso b/c of the venue.)

Not to derail everything, but is NAMBLA even real? I just figured it was an urban legend (kinda like the whole gay-men-with-gerbils thing), and that active pedos wouldn't be dumb enough to want to out themselves like that.
Maybe I just don't want to believe that such a thing could exist.
