i have been here all day.

the trip im from the airport (explain vahalla executives, please)
the provincal leg (we have nicer grounds, you have a nicer building)
the rom (which pissed me off mostly, except for the bizarre and handsome 17th century memento mori, and a really nice chardin that was framed in a really bad frame--bad for it and bad in general, euan mcdonald and luis jacob were also not too bad)
some of church's church's (i think one of the reasons, maybe the reason why i am so attached to the efficent and cold modernism of 50s architechture, was b/c the best buildings in edmonton are efficent and cold modernists--the churchs i have seen here, they are opulent, highly decorated, over the top, et al, that i became drunk and had to sober up in order to fall in love w. for example the subway stops, the city hall or that glass wall, reflective goregous monster across from the park)
some of bloor
the zanzibar and the buidings next to it (tell me about the zanzibar, i know its where the ladies take their clothes off and touch themselves, but is it as glam and seedy as it looks ?--also, next to it was a porn store stacked floor to celling with porn, which obstructed the view of the bonkers murals, including some of children)
i am going to go to the convention centre tomorrow, to play high church with geekdom, and i have two (!) apartment searches, but maybe beer is alos in the offing ?

There are several near the Zanzibar for men and women of most persuasions. Almost all on the east side, north of the Zanzibar.

You know Captin' Picard won't be making it right?

gosh darn, im in it for the comix, not for the sci fi, (note spelling of the comix.)

For some reason this reminds me of when (was it the Pan-Am Games?) all those Cubans were defecting during the middle of baseball games in Wpg. Except Edmonton is not quite Cuba, and comix are not quite baseball. But it seems to me that there is some sort homologue.
Is the Brass Rail still around? What about Rocky's just down the street?

Where are you staying Ant? Sometimes we do a beer after work thing on Wednesdays - Zac and I work right downtown. Maybe was that one of Sean's "unavailable" days though - I'll have to check the other thread.
