And by homepage I mean the page that you see when you open your browser, not your personal website homepage.

Sir Dante Evans (Sean3), Sunday, 29 August 2004 05:24 (twenty-one years ago)

no one else on this board is 14 years old

gabbneb (gabbneb), Sunday, 29 August 2004 05:25 (twenty-one years ago)

But Aja was 13...

Time can never mind the careless whispers of a good friend...

This one on Mozilla, at least.

Pleasant Plains (Pleasant Plains), Sunday, 29 August 2004 07:33 (twenty-one years ago)

caitlin (caitlin), Sunday, 29 August 2004 10:17 (twenty-one years ago)

(or, in my other browser, http://localhost/~caitlin/)

caitlin (caitlin), Sunday, 29 August 2004 10:18 (twenty-one years ago)

On this computer (at home) it is ILX at the moment!

On my work computer it is the company's homepage. This is set up by default, some ppl change it to something else but I'm not particularly rebellious ;)

MarkH (MarkH), Sunday, 29 August 2004 10:20 (twenty-one years ago)

The Concord (NH) Monitor. My old hometown newspaper.

jim wentworth (wench), Monday, 30 August 2004 03:18 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm running firefox, so I've got four pages loaded into tabs at the startup:

New York Times
Gmail
ILE New Answers
USC CNTV Community

paulhw (paulhw), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 02:17 (twenty-one years ago)

jaymc (jaymc), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 02:18 (twenty-one years ago)

i couldn't get this to work...

8)

i belong to the 'about:blank' generation. google would be a good bet but firefox includes a google toolbar so...

koogs (koogs), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 08:10 (twenty-one years ago)

(ha, ilx also has trouble with caitlin's homepage it would seem)

koogs (koogs), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 08:11 (twenty-one years ago)

Like Caitlin and Andrew, I too am a part of the about:blank nation.

Many Coloured Halo (Dee the Lurker), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 08:22 (twenty-one years ago)

Ego demands that it is this.

Jimmybommy JimmyK'KANG (Nick Southall), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 08:24 (twenty-one years ago)

My red sock monkey owns www.redsockmonkey.com

He is a bit flippant and lazy, and hasn't got round to developing the site yet (he also won't let the blue sock monkey help, but that is another story).

___ (___), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 08:28 (twenty-one years ago)

mine is google, but only because i don't really want my sysadmin ppl to open my browser staright onto something like ILX.

PinXor (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 08:32 (twenty-one years ago)

Obviously that's my homepage at home - my homepage at work is work's page.

Jimmybommy JimmyK'KANG (Nick Southall), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 08:33 (twenty-one years ago)

My ISP (Wanadoo) set it to their Web site and I can't be arsed changing it, since I hit stop before it ever goes there.

Michael White (Hereward), Wednesday, 1 September 2004 03:07 (twenty-one years ago)

http://www.cbc.ca

I keep meaning to change it to vancouver.cbc.ca, but it hasn't happened yet.

I don't understand this 'about:blank' generation thing. explain! Why a blank screen? Why a kinship?

derrick (derrick), Wednesday, 1 September 2004 04:22 (twenty-one years ago)

Because I don't need to see the same page in every new window. I do have six or seven sites I commonly go to first, and those are in a toolbar.

Harold Media (kenan), Wednesday, 1 September 2004 04:39 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm running firefox, so I've got four pages loaded into tabs at the startup:

WAIT. You can do this? How?

I love me some Firefox tabs. Makes ilxor a lot more accessible to me. I open up eight or nine threads at a time now.

Pleasant Plains (Pleasant Plains), Wednesday, 1 September 2004 04:54 (twenty-one years ago)

> I don't understand this 'about:blank' generation thing. explain!
> Why a blank screen? Why a kinship?

blank screen because it's the faster thing to load when starting

"about:blank generation" as a play on the song title "Blank Generation" by Richard Hell

http://www.richardhell.com/lyrics2.html

"I belong to the blank generation and
I can take it or leave it each time"
