The Statue of Liberty is nice, but lemme tellya -- you really don't need to get too excited about it (even tho' they just re-opened it for the first time since 2001). It's best viewed from a boat. I've climbed too the top once (circa 1996), and foolishly expected a larger amount of space in her head (like maybe enough room to stand up). Wrong. It's cramped and she doesn't look out at much (`cept Staten Island, which ain't much to look at....hence her rather muted expression, I suppose). My legs were like jelly by the time we got back down. You can't go in her arm to the torch anymore.
