sniff

s1ocki (slutsky), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 00:49 (twenty-one years ago)

do you have an Emily Procter fixation?

Gear! (Gear!), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 01:05 (twenty-one years ago)

Procterology

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 01:13 (twenty-one years ago)

who's emily procter? did she play ainsley in the west wing? (in which case: yes)

s1ocki (slutsky), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 02:09 (twenty-one years ago)

Yep!

Gear! (Gear!), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 02:27 (twenty-one years ago)

Whats wrong with this picture? Dammit man, CSI is MUCH BETTER than CSI: Miami, is whats wrong with it!!

Trayce (trayce), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 02:27 (twenty-one years ago)

GRISSOM! GRISSOM! GRISSOM! GRISSOM! GRISSOM!
GRISSOM! GRISSOM! GRISSOM! GRISSOM! GRISSOM!

Michael Stuchbery (Mikey Bidness), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 02:28 (twenty-one years ago)

csi miami is my dirty little monday night secret.

s1ocki (slutsky), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 02:28 (twenty-one years ago)

As much as I liked him in King of New York I blame David Caruso

Gear! (Gear!), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 02:29 (twenty-one years ago)

i still maintain someone should cast him as a middle-aged, bitter, archie andrews

s1ocki (slutsky), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 02:29 (twenty-one years ago)

but really I think "CSI Miami" is pretty good, it has the unassailable CSI template which is only occasionally (albeit horrifically) derailed by David Caruso love subplots/way too many shots of David Caruso putting on his sunglasses/David Caruso gazing condescendingly at the world around him.

Gear! (Gear!), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 02:31 (twenty-one years ago)

motherfucker, you were in Jade, don't look at me like that

Gear! (Gear!), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 02:31 (twenty-one years ago)

it's soooooo moralizing too! it's like they always have to pathetically try to put the main characters above the sleaze

s1ocki (slutsky), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 02:32 (twenty-one years ago)

procedurals are tv crack

s1ocki (slutsky), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 02:32 (twenty-one years ago)

they were OTM when they ditched Kim Delaney, now if they could just give the reins completely to Emily Procter and Holt McCallney they'd be set.

Gear! (Gear!), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 02:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Hahaha, the sniper episode OF CSI Miami was rad.

"Don't You Want To Know Why I Did It?" - EVIL MARINE SNIPER

"No, You're An Evil Person Who Enjoys Killing And Death And I Hope You Enjoy Your Own." - HORATIO WHO DOES THIS SO HE CAN SLEEP AT NIGHT.

Michael Stuchbery (Mikey Bidness), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 02:34 (twenty-one years ago)

Mmmm Grissom. He's dreeeamy.

Hahah wtf check this pic of him out:

http://mirrorimageorigin.collegepublisher.com/media/paper275/stills/85u7p1t5.jpg

Trayce (trayce), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 02:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Horatio you were in motherfucking Proof of Life, don't tell ME I'm a bad person!

Gear! (Gear!), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 02:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Wm Peterson in To Live and Die In L.A.! You can see his cack!

Gear! (Gear!), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 02:36 (twenty-one years ago)

I can't wait to see Gary Sinise bust some skulls in a measured, scientific way when CSI: NY starts.

Michael Stuchbery (Mikey Bidness), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 02:36 (twenty-one years ago)

let's hope he falls more on the side of Wm P's lovable crime scene dork and less on the side of D-Cas' sanctimonious Hummer-driving bore.

Gear! (Gear!), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 02:39 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm hoping they start pushing Grissom's deafness more. They touched on it right at the very start of the first season, and since then only once or twice has it come up again. Him going more deaf and how he copes without telling anyone is a great little subplot.

Trayce (trayce), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 02:43 (twenty-one years ago)

So how was tonight's episode? give us a synopsis.

Gear! (Gear!), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 04:55 (twenty-one years ago)

I think he's gonna be a kook.

Michael Stuchbery (Mikey Bidness), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 05:35 (twenty-one years ago)

I think his beautiful swanlike neck will contribute to many episodes in which criminals confess eagerly, enticed by his beauty. Not to mention other episodes wherein his CSI investigator is used as bait for murderous Manhattan vampires.

Gear! (Gear!), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 05:41 (twenty-one years ago)

But... but... CSI Miami is on *Tuesday* you crazy people!

And the original is still best. Humph. When the ginger bloke pretends to care, I just want to punch him. When Grisham starts acting all weird, I *believe* that he gives a shit.

Super-Masonic Black Hole (kate), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 07:56 (twenty-one years ago)

great moralizing moment in last night's episodes, which was kind of a paparazzi thing, was when ainsley (who admitted earlier in the ep to enjoying the occasional tabloid), realized they were immoral and wrong and threw one in the garbage!

s1ocki (slutsky), Tuesday, 7 September 2004 22:26 (twenty-one years ago)

it's crazy how they ALWAYS have a beat like that in every episode

s1ocki (slutsky), Tuesday, 7 September 2004 22:27 (twenty-one years ago)

they also like to have caruso EXIT STAGE LEFT after delivering one of his ponderous zingers

jones (actual), Tuesday, 7 September 2004 22:44 (twenty-one years ago)

omg they did that too! there was another moralizing beat right at the end of the ep, when this paparazzi dude went up to him and was all, "are you the detective who broke the case?" caruso in his smuggest voice goes, "no. it was my TEAM who broke the case." then paparazzi dude tries to get him to pose for a photo, we see caruso through the viewfinder as he says... "no."! then he exits the viewfinder, stage left!

s1ocki (slutsky), Tuesday, 7 September 2004 23:20 (twenty-one years ago)

What?!?!?

Last night was the episode where he figured out who killed his brother! (But they also had the webcam whore subplot in the background.)

Red-headed bloke just makes me cross. Like, I swear to god, PINOCCHIO IS A LESS WOODEN CHARACTER. You'd just found out WHO KILLED YOUR DAMN BROTHER!!! Do you think that maybe, just maybe, for once, you could ACT WITH SOME EMOTION?!?!?

Ach. At least it was the Coffee Rage episode on CSI Classic.

Super-Masonic Black Hole (kate), Wednesday, 8 September 2004 10:54 (twenty-one years ago)

i imagine the programming schedule is different in canada than in the uk! (i like the term "csi classic"!)

s1ocki (slutsky), Wednesday, 8 September 2004 15:15 (twenty-one years ago)

Dirty Cannuck bastards, stealing our CSI!

(In my dreams, there is CSI NYC which has special guest appearances by Law and Order regulars... did I post about that already?)

Super-Masonic Black Hole (kate), Wednesday, 8 September 2004 15:16 (twenty-one years ago)

well did you know that csi: ny is actually starting this month? with gary sinise? (no l&o crossovers tho as they're competing!)

s1ocki (slutsky), Wednesday, 8 September 2004 15:19 (twenty-one years ago)

Argh! Argh! It won't get to the UK for years, though! It's just NOT FAIR!!! No, I will not get Digital TV just to get CSINYC, I will not.

Super-Masonic Black Hole (kate), Wednesday, 8 September 2004 15:20 (twenty-one years ago)

have you ever seen any of those ripoffs, like "murder investigation"?

s1ocki (slutsky), Wednesday, 8 September 2004 15:21 (twenty-one years ago)

No, we don't get those over here. Occasionally we get these really dull and tedious "real life FBI!!!" reality type shows, but it's just like COPS with the occasional DNA test. Feh.

Super-Masonic Black Hole (kate), Wednesday, 8 September 2004 15:22 (twenty-one years ago)

"Bad boys, bad boys, whatchagonnado? Whatchagonnado when they saliva swab you?"

Super-Masonic Black Hole (kate), Wednesday, 8 September 2004 15:24 (twenty-one years ago)

I saw the very end of that paparazzi one last night. It was dumb. What happened was they were bringing the baddy out to take him to jail and there were all these photographers taking pics of him and he was grinning because HE WAS A CELEBRITY NOW. Dumbass Caruso is standing off to the side and a photog comes up and is like "You're the one that broke the case, aren't you? Can I get some pics, maybe a head shot?" and Caruso is like "Actually, my TEAM broke the case" and stalks off. SIMPLE MORALIZING IS A DUD, so CSI IS A DUD. Law & Order has moralizing too, but it's typically at least slightly nuanced.

n/a (Nick A.), Wednesday, 8 September 2004 15:30 (twenty-one years ago)

but it's so entertaining and ham-handed! also you got it wrong, the murderer was already a movie star. BACK TO CSI ACADEMY FOR YOU KIDDO!

s1ocki (slutsky), Wednesday, 8 September 2004 15:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Law and Order moralises like a Southern Democrat rolling out the pork barrel? L&O is nothing but NONSTOP MORALISATION!!! ALL THE TIME!!!

Grissom wouldn't wrap everything up in a nice little moral package with a bow. Unless the package was wrapped in black PVC or something.

And he was nice to the librarian bloke with Aspbergers and everything last night.

Super-Masonic Black Hole (kate), Wednesday, 8 September 2004 15:32 (twenty-one years ago)

best l&o moment ever: the episode obv inspired by the p diddy case--in the last scene sam waterston goes "we got dissed."

s1ocki (slutsky), Wednesday, 8 September 2004 15:32 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh wait, was the papparazzi one the one where some bloke got shot, and his neighbour covered up for him because he was secretly gay? Or was that a CSI Classic papparazzi one?

Super-Masonic Black Hole (kate), Wednesday, 8 September 2004 15:33 (twenty-one years ago)

the former!

s1ocki (slutsky), Wednesday, 8 September 2004 15:35 (twenty-one years ago)

> have you ever seen any of those ripoffs, like "murder investigation"?

we've had the one with the thin irish sounding woman detective and the two CSI blokes with the worst british accents ever, used to air around midnight.

koogs (koogs), Wednesday, 8 September 2004 15:36 (twenty-one years ago)

who wants to start a band called "CS Oi!"?

s1ocki (slutsky), Wednesday, 8 September 2004 15:39 (twenty-one years ago)

haha "medical investigation"!! do leading men get any un-lead-ier than Neal McDonough?

jones (actual), Wednesday, 8 September 2004 15:55 (twenty-one years ago)

It could have been Oliver Platt.

Dan Perry '08 (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 8 September 2004 16:00 (twenty-one years ago)

the straight man's nathan lane!!

jones (actual), Wednesday, 8 September 2004 16:06 (twenty-one years ago)

I only saw the last 5 minutes of that CSI, slocki, which is why I'm not down with all the details. ALSO BECAUSE CSI = DUM.

n/a (Nick A.), Wednesday, 8 September 2004 16:11 (twenty-one years ago)

AAAAAHHHH, CSI CLASSIC LAST NIGHT WAS THE B&D EPISODE!!! WITH MISTRESS HEATHER!!! AAAAHHHHHHHH!!!

No wonder I couldn't get to sleep last night, I was too excited. Oh my.

Is that the best episode ever, or what?

Danger Whore (kate), Wednesday, 15 September 2004 07:41 (twenty-one years ago)

i haven't seen that one!

s1ocki (slutsky), Wednesday, 15 September 2004 14:28 (twenty-one years ago)

But it is the best episode ever! Liquid Latex! Grissom making lovey dovey eyes with the Mistress of an S&M Bordello! Total rock!

Danger Whore (kate), Wednesday, 15 September 2004 14:31 (twenty-one years ago)

For the record, I hated last night's episode.

dave225 (Dave225), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 11:53 (twenty-one years ago)

j blount (papa la bas), Friday, 10 June 2005 05:49 (twenty-one years ago)

Grissom is totally a sub.
