In praise of Svyturys beer

It is from Lithuania. Their English language website is here. Picked up a four pack from Trader Joe's last night -- big bottles, always a nice sign. Crisp, a bit of hoppyness/bitterness but by no means a horrible amount, more like a good aftertaste. I plan to get more people hooked on it shortly.

Celebrate this or any other Baltic beers that need more attention.

Yes! The Estonian dark beer Saku Tume is better than anything I've tasted from the alleged kings of the brewing world, Germany and the Czech Republic.


finding it in this country might be problematic, but to be honest I haven't tried (yet).
