Software for Copying Commercial DVDs

So, I have this "friend" who would like to copy a few commercial DVDs. How would I "he" go about doing this? This would be on OS X.

There is a really useful guide to doing this on the net including links to download free software that actually works, but unfortunatly I have no idea where it was. I think it's on my favourites at home though.
