Having a nice holiday weekend

Canceling traveling plans yielded great, intimate Thanksgiving at home. Honeymooners DVDs on a loop. Been drunk since Thursday morning. Baked potatos, natural cigars by Drew Estate, Little Wings, Actual Air. Finished Xmas shopping, with one or two small exceptions, in ONE DAY. Bought myself a brand new drill as a reward for being efficient and frugal. Jandek on Corwood. No work for 30 more hours. Feelin' irie, good people. I-fucking-rie.

How 'bout you all?

i'm enjoying myself. indian food. phantom of the paradise. shirley maclaine movies. picking out new track lighting. receiving an early birthday present. finishing my massive itunes reorganization project. finally hearing some good news that i'd been waiting to hear.

Extremely well, every day since Wednesday has brought at least one wonderful treat if not more. Today -- recording with the Gang Wizard in a one-off collaborative thang. Talking about cartography and video games while an eight-piece band goes apeshit in the next room as the rain pours down = lovely.

He was in fine fettle today, Mike was. Met him a number of times -- my connection to the band is Jake Anderson, longtime friend of both myself and donut christ, and my grad-school era roommate as well as a later housemate.

they're a good band. I'd love to hear the Ned Wizard collab - what do you do on it?

Uh, I just said! Talking about cartography and video games! They'll release it at some point here.

National Geographic sent me a very nice map of the world. And Jimmy and Rosalyn Carter sent me nice stickers for my return address. But just me - not my beloved. Oh well - I'll stick 'em on the bills.

My favorite part of the holidays was being called "Uncle Alison."
