Today, I reached for the face soap and noticed on top was carved out the word "PEARS" and immediately thought "CAN JUST FUCK RIGHT OFF." Then, I wondered just what the hell Pears Can Just Fuck Right Off actually means by that. Is he against the fruit? The soap?

I believe it is the fruit, as originally hated by Eddie Izzard. Although at first I thought a person called Pears had offended in some way.

Although at first I thought a person called Pears had offended in some way.

I thought that, too. So, Eddie Izzard hates pears?

Triple Ho, Thursday, 6 January 2005 17:01 (twenty-one years ago)

Best not think about it, really.

I keep thinking of Joe Levy, ever since I jokingly g00gl3p00f3d his name and miccio thought I was afraid he was gonna come and get me. The power of suggestion. Is he lurking around ILX?

Ken L (Ken L), Thursday, 6 January 2005 17:41 (twenty-one years ago)

I just asked the Pears question before.

You just asked it.

Has the world started to collapse inwards or do you just REALLY want to know?

Starry (hello chickens), Thursday, 6 January 2005 17:44 (twenty-one years ago)

So oranges can fuck off, that’s what I say! And pears can fuck right off too! 'Cause they’re gorgeous little beasts, but they’re ripe for half an hour ... and you’re never there! They’re like a rock, or they’re mush! ... Pears are like a rock, so you think, "I’ll take them home and they’ll ripen up," and you put them in a bowl, and they sit there going, "No! No! Don’t ripen yet! Don’t ripen yet! Wait till he goes out of the room! Ripen now! Now! Now!" And you come back in, and you go, "I’ll just have one of these ... Hey, these pears are dead! These are dead pears, man. Hey, what happened, guys?"
