During wartime and following one the worst natural disasters in recorded history, he is, of course, under fire for having 9 separate lavish balls, though it's not paid for by taxpayers. The DC police force is being asked to use homeland security funds to pay for guarding the ceremonies...

"Weiner cited the example of President Franklin Roosevelt, who celebrated his trimmed-down 1945 inaugural with cold chicken salad and pound cake..." God bless him.

I thought this would be where my questions about gay Todd might be answered. Damn the CBC!

No, when one is handpicked by God to lead, a coronation is exactly what's called for.

andy --, Tuesday, 18 January 2005 18:47 (twenty-one years ago)

but God picked him in the late '90s. he didn't stand in the way of 9/11, of course.

gabbneb (gabbneb), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 18:51 (twenty-one years ago)

gay todd is hott.

anthony, Tuesday, 18 January 2005 18:59 (twenty-one years ago)

He is! But it bugs me that the CBC is like a year behind in episodes.

White House spokesman Scott McClellan said the events were a time to "celebrate freedom" and "pay tribute to our men and women in uniform." A formal salute to troops is part of the inaugural program.

However, any veterans seeking a piece of celebratory cake (or celebratory health benefits) can fuck right off.

Does anyone know if Blair got an invite?

Paul Kelly (kelly), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 06:16 (twenty-one years ago)

Blair would turn it down. This is an election year over here.

If there's ever anything you need to know, Leon, you have only to ask.

accentmonkey (accentmonkey), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 08:45 (twenty-one years ago)

Dear god. I cannot COPE with the current Corrie storylines. I mean...

It's like dancing whilst the walls crumble (!)

Some lady is singing. the lyrics are about as good as the badly-translated love songs that show up in the middle of anime flicks.

(note: this is not the one singing. i think. it was a mezzo-soprano with the tune.)

have they done a version of John Ashcroft's tune yet?

kingfish (Kingfish), Thursday, 20 January 2005 16:56 (twenty-one years ago)

thats the plan innit?

Rove was on this morning chirping about how his proudest achievement of the campaign was how the president 'was open and honest with his agenda for the next four years'. Was there anything in his campaign about gutting social security and war in Iran or was I not paying attention?
