For those of you not dorky enough to read /., there was whole thread about these pictures where people were trying to date them from the screen shots of the PCs:

"These clearly could not have been taken in 1983, since Windows 1.x wasn't released until 1986." (It helps if you read it in the Comic Book Guy voice. That's actually true for all of Slashdot)

This guy is very smart about a lot of things: If you ask him for advice on buying a TV, he'll give you the kind of guidance money can't buy -- if you can understand it -- but along the way, he'll recite the entire MPEG4 specification peppered with little snorty laughs at the "funny" parts. It's to the point where people avoid asking him anything at all for fear of being trapped standing in his cube for an hour or more.
