aieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

lauren (laurenp), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 14:44 (twenty-one years ago)

FUCK FUCKING FUCK. I HATE THIS FUCKING THING. I REGRET EVER GOING DIGITAL.

Miles Finch, Wednesday, 19 January 2005 14:45 (twenty-one years ago)

"Watch music videos on your mobile"
"All the way through"

Catchy tune, sang it for weeks, but no, I don't want to.

mark grout (mark grout), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 14:45 (twenty-one years ago)

Just saw this on the TV at work. Why the heck would you want to watch music videos on your mobile phone?

dog latin (dog latin), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 14:48 (twenty-one years ago)

URGENT AND KEY: Is there a happy hardcore mix yet?

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 14:51 (twenty-one years ago)

the first 9,324,889 times i saw the crazy frog, it made me want to kill. i'm getting calmer now, though.

lauren (laurenp), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 14:52 (twenty-one years ago)

I've only seen this advertised on digital TV, which I only got about a month back. I had assumed that there were new ringtones out all the time, but in fact it's been a month of miserable aural torture. Someone in my office tried to imitate it yesterday with tragic consequences.

Miles Finch, Wednesday, 19 January 2005 14:53 (twenty-one years ago)

i'm like lauren, except i haven't calmed down yet.

DEATH TO THE FROG

Rob Bolton (Rob Bolton), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 14:54 (twenty-one years ago)

It's OK Rob, you'll be safe soon. I wouldn't have thought this kind of thing goes on in Thailand.

Why is it grey? Why does it not look anything like a frog? Why does it have an obscene little winky that only appears on the longer adverts?

Liz :x (Liz :x), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 14:56 (twenty-one years ago)

I think the only good thing about the crazy frog is that you can show it to your friends as many times as you like.

RJG (RJG), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 14:56 (twenty-one years ago)

It's even more annoying than the rat and hippo ones that preceded it. It's been followed by a dancing chick, I think, but I've only seen that advert once. It hasn't caught on in the same way.

aldo_cowpat (aldo_cowpat), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 14:57 (twenty-one years ago)

i had to come to terms with him (and his weird little penis) a bit, rob, because i like to watch vh1 classics and e4. it was either learn to live and let live or stop watching my beloved digital cable because that shit is advertised about 1000x a day.

lauren (laurenp), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 14:59 (twenty-one years ago)

Whoa, i saw this at a friends place (we don't have cable) and it fucking sucks. I had anough people send me the link to this three years ago without seeing it on TV as well.

papa november (papa november), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 15:02 (twenty-one years ago)

I had to start muting the tv every time the ads came on. It was on every second advert when I was off over christmas. Not good for your state of mind.
What's even more annoying is that it's started appearing in flash ads on the web - with no mute button. Without any warning that irritating noise comes out of your speakers and there's no way to silence it without leaving the page or muting your sound altogether.
Which is my way of saying it's very annoying and very tedious.

Greig (treefell), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 15:03 (twenty-one years ago)

My friend Ben bluetoothed the video to me. If anyone at the FAP next week wants it (and surely you will go to hell, you pervert), then ask me and I'll 'tooth it over to you

Markelby (Mark C), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 15:19 (twenty-one years ago)

see?

RJG (RJG), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 15:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Who in the name of God puts this crap on their phone? The radio adverts make me want to feed real live frogs to its creator. It makes me feel like Alex in NYC on a really pissed off day. I HATE IT HATE HATE IT. HOW HAS IT EVER CAUGT ON? HOW? IT'S WORSE THAN FUCKING 'WE WILL ROCK YOU'!

Anna (Anna), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 18:13 (twenty-one years ago)

(sorry, until 'crazy frog' [makes sign to ward off evil eye] the Queen/ Ben Elton musical was the worst pop cultural attrocity ever.)

Anna (Anna), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 18:14 (twenty-one years ago)

(I think I might be drunk. I shouldn't drink wine on an empty stomach)

Anna (Anna), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 18:15 (twenty-one years ago)

does your phone have bluetooth, anna?

RJG (RJG), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 18:22 (twenty-one years ago)

Haha Anna - I didn't ask for it, and neither did my friend - we were both victims of other people hilariously bluetoothing it to us*

*this may not be strictly true in my case. But I certainly didn't actively seek it, as it is the most nasty, irritating thing ever. Mind you, I admire their money-making technique

Markelby (Mark C), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 18:24 (twenty-one years ago)

I have bluetooth, but rarely switch it on. Crazy Frog evil means I will never switch it on again.

Anna (Anna), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 18:27 (twenty-one years ago)

ARGH IT SUCKS

worst is that it took me many viewings (while, like Lauren, watching music channels) before I figured out that he's supposed to be on a motorbike or something, and THAT'S WHY HE'S MAKING THE SODDING NOISE.

sgs (sgs), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 18:27 (twenty-one years ago)

What did you think he was doing with his hands???

Markelby (Mark C), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 18:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Wanking two miniature pigs.

aldo_cowpat (aldo_cowpat), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 18:30 (twenty-one years ago)

I think logic is on sarah's side, sorry, mark.

RJG (RJG), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 18:31 (twenty-one years ago)

the only thing more annoying than the fucking frog itself is the pack of thirteen year olds in the shop today who felt it wz a good idea to do the whole fucking noise while standing at the head of the queue after they had payed for their shit.

fcussen (Burger), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 18:37 (twenty-one years ago)

Kill them. Simple.

Anna (Anna), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 18:42 (twenty-one years ago)

: D

RJG (RJG), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 18:43 (twenty-one years ago)

The culprits revealed.

robster (robster), Thursday, 27 January 2005 15:20 (twenty-one years ago)

URGENT AND KEY: Is there a happy hardcore mix yet?
-- Matt DC (runmd...), January 19th, 2005.

--Now a dance mix has been recorded and played on Chris Moyles's Radio 1 breakfast show.

Miles Finch, Thursday, 27 January 2005 15:22 (twenty-one years ago)

The picture the BBC have shows the winky! Surely that's not on. I will burn my TV license in protest.

Liz :x (Liz :x), Thursday, 27 January 2005 15:47 (twenty-one years ago)

Christ on the cross being crucified, I did wonder if ILX had had a thread about this. It's not often something so trivial makes me scream, but this did. Also see: orgasm ringtones.

Michael Jones (MichaelJ), Thursday, 27 January 2005 15:58 (twenty-one years ago)

ORGASM RINGTONES?!

That's it. I'm voting Tory at the next election.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Thursday, 27 January 2005 16:20 (twenty-one years ago)

Although it would be briefly amusing to play one in a packed Tube carriage. In the height of summer.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Thursday, 27 January 2005 16:21 (twenty-one years ago)

No it wouldn't.

alix (alix), Thursday, 27 January 2005 16:41 (twenty-one years ago)

Orgasm ringtones? Seriously?

Miles Finch, Thursday, 27 January 2005 16:43 (twenty-one years ago)

matt.

no.

lauren (laurenp), Thursday, 27 January 2005 16:49 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm with Lixi, I'm afraid. It's beyond the limits of my imagination to conceive of a context in which these things could be fun or amusing. There's a challenge for someone.

Michael Jones (MichaelJ), Thursday, 27 January 2005 16:56 (twenty-one years ago)

Ah! Now I should have searched...

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 27 January 2005 16:58 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh lord. Now that I've actually listened to some of these things, I realise my Tube example is the sort of thing they pardon murderers for.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Thursday, 27 January 2005 16:59 (twenty-one years ago)

To be fair the male vomiting ringtone disgusted me more than all the sex ones put together.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Thursday, 27 January 2005 17:02 (twenty-one years ago)

man. and i thought my 'eye of the tiger' ringtone was bad!

lauren (laurenp), Thursday, 27 January 2005 17:19 (twenty-one years ago)

three months pass...

jed_ (jed), Sunday, 8 May 2005 21:15 (twenty-one years ago)

If I ever have to see or work with anyone who actually USES the fucking frog as a ringtone, I'll get all Bernard Black on their asses and smash shit out of their phone with a hammer.

Trayce (trayce), Monday, 9 May 2005 00:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Theres a new advert for a crazy frog - axel f ringtone on tv just now.

Andy Jay, Monday, 9 May 2005 03:20 (twenty-one years ago)

10 PRINT "DUD"
20 GOTO 10
RUN

caitlin (caitlin), Monday, 9 May 2005 06:47 (twenty-one years ago)

theres going to be an 'axel f' single in a couple of weeks.
be afraid.

zappi (joni), Monday, 9 May 2005 07:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Somebody somewhere is making a lot of money in a most artisically bankrupt fashion.

Crazy frog is the public extrusion of office forward emails with pictures of cats with artificially large eyes.

Sub, sub ITV.

Jarlr'mai (jarlrmai), Monday, 9 May 2005 07:53 (twenty-one years ago)

so i finally saw this advert.

i dont like it very much

charltonlido (gareth), Monday, 9 May 2005 07:58 (twenty-one years ago)

I just don't understand it at all. I fail entirely to comprehend why anyone would pay money for a ringtone in the first place, and this? THIS?

Matt (Matt), Monday, 9 May 2005 08:04 (twenty-one years ago)

i'm surprised gareth, i thought it would be right up your alley. it's so Leeds!

$V£N! (blueski), Monday, 9 May 2005 08:31 (twenty-one years ago)

They have only just started blanking out the frog nob in the Alex F remix. MAN.

Lucretia My Reflection (Lucretia My Reflection), Monday, 9 May 2005 08:32 (twenty-one years ago)

hahahaha i never even noticed it before

$V£N! (blueski), Monday, 9 May 2005 08:35 (twenty-one years ago)

I managed to find a web site forum for people who love these ring tones, yes I think they are all under 12

Ste (Fuzzy), Monday, 9 May 2005 08:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Time to get grooming.

Jarlr'mai (jarlrmai), Monday, 9 May 2005 08:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Are they the same kids that send those 'NE FIT BIRDS WANT 2 CHAT LOL' type text messages to those digital TV music video channels at a cost of ONE POUND PER TEXT?

$V£N! (blueski), Monday, 9 May 2005 08:46 (twenty-one years ago)

where *does* c-man get the money?

N_RQ, Monday, 9 May 2005 08:51 (twenty-one years ago)

four years pass...

Does anyone remember that single that Jive(?) put out that was a total rip-off of crazy frog? It was like a baby elephant or something?

Moka Pwnly (Whiney G. Weingarten), Thursday, 20 August 2009 18:00 (sixteen years ago)

And if they remembered, would they admit it?

Aimless, Thursday, 20 August 2009 18:47 (sixteen years ago)

fourteen years pass...

Daniel_Rf, Thursday, 11 April 2024 17:19 (two years ago)

Quite the time capsule, that.

Grandpont Genie, Thursday, 11 April 2024 18:35 (two years ago)

maybe because of the upcoming beverly hills cop sequel?

I? not I! He! He! HIM! (akm), Thursday, 11 April 2024 18:53 (two years ago)

I’ve no idea how but my 3 year old loves Crazy Frog. It’s one of her most requested plays.

mmmm, Friday, 12 April 2024 06:04 (two years ago)

He's back, and he's on the run

Ethinically Ambigaus (Bananaman Begins), Friday, 12 April 2024 09:20 (two years ago)

is Crazy Frog the new Baby Shark? Someone needs to do a dissertation about that imo

StanM, Friday, 12 April 2024 10:17 (two years ago)

Happier days surfin the web when this was all I needed

ヽ(´ー`)┌ (CompuPost), Friday, 12 April 2024 10:21 (two years ago)

the idea of paying for ringtones for your phone is also a bit of a time capsule I think? tbf I never understood why people would do that even at the time

Colonel Poo, Friday, 12 April 2024 10:23 (two years ago)
