SID LITTLE

Stevem On X (blueski), Thursday, 20 January 2005 16:19 (twenty-one years ago)

Please god don't let this have been mentioned before. It's too great not to have been, I guess.

Steve, there are SO MANY LAYERS OF GREATNESS. Although the Pasadenas will NOT perform any of their hits, they do use the word "teh" so obviously they must be ILX lurkers! Hi guys!!

Markelby (Mark C), Thursday, 20 January 2005 16:20 (twenty-one years ago)

Dare you to book both Tessa Sanderson and Fatima Whitbread for the same evening. You'll need an 80-metre long dining room, mind.

Markelby (Mark C), Thursday, 20 January 2005 16:21 (twenty-one years ago)

after careful consideration my ideal ultimate dinner party consists of the following (chosen from the list on the site):

Malandra Burrows
Jonathan Morris
The Wurzels
Schnorbitz
Fatima Whitbread
Nik Kershaw
Gordon Banks
Roger DeCourcey

Stevem On X (blueski), Thursday, 20 January 2005 16:22 (twenty-one years ago)

wait, is this Jonathan Morris as in the guy who played Adrian in Bread? i thought it was Johnny Morris of Animal Magic fame but didn't he die years ago? now THAT would set the party off mind you

Stevem On X (blueski), Thursday, 20 January 2005 16:23 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh wow. Oh lordy.

Actually I quite fancy getting Nik Kershaw round for a bit of a singsong but his icons show that he doesn't do that, bastard. I'd love to rip through some Let Loose numbers.

Bernard the Butler (Lynskey), Thursday, 20 January 2005 16:23 (twenty-one years ago)

surely Schnorbitz is dead too. i bet they would just send any St Bernards dog they have - how would we tell?

Stevem On X (blueski), Thursday, 20 January 2005 16:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Repertoire: Keith likes to appears on his own, but for an additional fee, will bring along either Orville or Cuddles.

Special Requirements: None.

Oddly tragic.

Archel (Archel), Thursday, 20 January 2005 16:28 (twenty-one years ago)

i would insist that be bring both Orville AND Cuddles, just to make him sweat. then i would demand that they fight to the death.

Stevem On X (blueski), Thursday, 20 January 2005 16:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Who's pitching in to send Linda Lusardi round to Calum's house?

Bernard the Butler (Lynskey), Thursday, 20 January 2005 16:29 (twenty-one years ago)

"Many of our celebrities like playing after-dinner party games (such as Charades, Pictionary or Guess Who) The tic-tac-toe icon represents this."

beanz (beanz), Thursday, 20 January 2005 16:33 (twenty-one years ago)

I wonder how far you could stretch the whole "games" thing? Getting Gordon Banks and Sir Geoff round for a game of Buscuit would certainly be memorable.

Bernard the Butler (Lynskey), Thursday, 20 January 2005 16:34 (twenty-one years ago)

"an elusive touch of Hollywood glamour"

robster (robster), Thursday, 20 January 2005 16:36 (twenty-one years ago)

CLAIRE McGLINN

Biography. Claire appeared in the iTV soap Coronation Street as Charlie Ramsden from November 2000 until April 2002 haivng previously appeared in BBC2's series The Cops.

Repetoire. Claire will entertain you with tales about the cast and crew of Coronation Street. Claire is also a big fan of the game charades.

beanz (beanz), Thursday, 20 January 2005 16:37 (twenty-one years ago)

I want to play Boggle with a brace of Gladiators.

beanz (beanz), Thursday, 20 January 2005 16:38 (twenty-one years ago)

We should club together to get ABC out to a FAP.

robster (robster), Thursday, 20 January 2005 16:39 (twenty-one years ago)

imagine if they just refused to leave because they were "so lonely", hahahaha! (this isn't actually funny)

Stevem On X (blueski), Thursday, 20 January 2005 16:39 (twenty-one years ago)

Scarily plausible. Especially with Jaki Graham.

Bernard the Butler (Lynskey), Thursday, 20 January 2005 16:40 (twenty-one years ago)

From Nik Kershaw's biog:

for the next 12 months a succession of his pleasant, simple tunes paraded through the upper reaches of the UK chart.

"pleasant"
"simple"

poor Nik.

hobart paving (hobart paving), Thursday, 20 January 2005 16:41 (twenty-one years ago)

Simple? Muthafucker packed more chord and key changes into a song than anyone on earth.

Bernard the Butler (Lynskey), Thursday, 20 January 2005 16:42 (twenty-one years ago)

although I suppose that's better than "unpleasant"

x-post. Jacki Graham used to shop in the Safeway where I worked. TRUE STORY. She never came round to mine for dinner, though.

hobart paving (hobart paving), Thursday, 20 January 2005 16:42 (twenty-one years ago)

STU FRANCIS

Special Requirements. A bunch of grapes.

robster (robster), Thursday, 20 January 2005 16:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Woah! Jacki Graham SHOPS?

Bernard the Butler (Lynskey), Thursday, 20 January 2005 16:44 (twenty-one years ago)

I wonder if ALL the members of ABC have 'a fatal nut allergy'? Asking for it, surely.

Archel (Archel), Thursday, 20 January 2005 16:48 (twenty-one years ago)

Looking at the list I nominate Lenny Bennett as the most likely to break down crying.

Bernard the Butler (Lynskey), Thursday, 20 January 2005 16:51 (twenty-one years ago)

Was looking at this this morning and couldn't work out if this was a spoof. Doesn't seem to be. Brotherhood Of Man require 3 sockets to plug their instruments in. Fatima Whitbread and Tessa Sanderson together would be great, and yes either an 80 metre dining room or at least keeping the breadsticks away from them is key.

mms (mms), Thursday, 20 January 2005 16:56 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm pretty sure its a spoof. "The Pasadenas will not be performing any of their hits"...?

Shouldn't that be "hit", singular? And why would you want them to, anyway??

hobart paving (hobart paving), Thursday, 20 January 2005 16:58 (twenty-one years ago)

they had at least three top ten hits

Stevem On X (blueski), Thursday, 20 January 2005 16:58 (twenty-one years ago)

"As well as telling jokes, Jim will happily act as host for you to play a home version of Bullseye."

Am I mad, or does that actually sound pretty fun?

Archel (Archel), Thursday, 20 January 2005 16:59 (twenty-one years ago)

The Hamiltons:

"Repertoire: Pure entertaining banter."

The Lex (The Lex), Thursday, 20 January 2005 17:02 (twenty-one years ago)

Wouldn't be as fun w/out Tony Whatisname... "INNNNNN ONE!"

(xpost)

robster (robster), Thursday, 20 January 2005 17:02 (twenty-one years ago)

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get the Wurzels for a cider-only FAP!

NickB (NickB), Thursday, 20 January 2005 17:04 (twenty-one years ago)

they had at least three top ten hits

surely not.. Wow, they really passed me by...

x-post Archel..it sounds like a guilty pleasure. Very guilty.

hobart paving (hobart paving), Thursday, 20 January 2005 17:05 (twenty-one years ago)

The bloke from Gladiators requires a treadmill. I fear he may be pricing himself out of what is an extremely competitive market.

Nick Leeson
Special Requirements: £650 million and a one-way ticket to Cuba

Markelby (Mark C), Thursday, 20 January 2005 17:08 (twenty-one years ago)

Christine Hamilton will fellate diners for £50 a head.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Thursday, 20 January 2005 17:11 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm sure this is a spoof, unless you really can get a dog to turn up and speak at your dinner.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Thursday, 20 January 2005 17:14 (twenty-one years ago)

surely Christine would have to pay THEM?

Stevem On X (blueski), Thursday, 20 January 2005 17:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Christine Hamilton will fellate diners for £50 a head.

I love the way these two statements fit together.

hobart paving (hobart paving), Thursday, 20 January 2005 17:39 (twenty-one years ago)

I sort of wish Ruby Turner wasn't doing this. Surely she's better than that??
