I'm On My Own As Far As Watching Point Pleasant Goes, Aren't I?

There is no thread I could find. How about the OC fanz? Do they stick around for the anti-OC. The one where the pretty OC people are terrorized by the daughter of Satan and whatshisface from Melrose Place? I like it. But then i'm a fan of the whole teen terror child of the devil seventh sign prophesy thing set in a seaside town with a secret a la the fog.

The ads appealed in an "I still miss American Gothic, goddammit" way -- ordinarily it's the kind of thing I would at least check out and give it some time to sell itself to me if need be, but I had to run errands when the first episode was on, and tonight I've been swamped with work.

Dina Meyer is on it, isn't she? I thought I saw her in one of the ads. She was the only thing I really liked about Birds of Prey, beyond the novelty value of Mia Sara as Harley Quinn.

i almost watched it, but 4 hours of sleep last night means i would have been asleep in minutes no matter how good/bad/it was.
sort of burnt out w/the whole stark lighting as eye candy fix. like whenm x-filesstarted, i swear i watched the show because i was hooked on how the flashlights beams would shoot around the frame in different scenes.

I like it cuz you get to see cute young things in their swim-suits AND priests hung upside down and then lit on fire. so, yeah, basically, The OC+ Satan = I'm watching.

yeah-i just saw a headline today, saying UPN is losing all sorts of money. next on UPN harvel keitel will be shitting all over himself, but on a clean white sun-bleached linen.

Tonight's episode was a trifle better than yesterday's, but overall it's pretty crappy, eh?

I'm one of four people in the world who actually like Marti Noxon, and this show totally sounded like my sort of show... But I don't know if it's just that there are too many cooks in the kitchen, or if there's been major network interference (especially in terms of the horrible casting and all the scantily clad "teenagers" cavorting on the beach), but the show just sucks. It lacks any cohesive vision, humor, or subtlety. The scripts for the first two episodes were so bland there might as well have been no script at all.

I still think it could get better... Ben Edlund and Marti are both responsible for some seriously good television, so maybe if by some miracle this show doesn't get canceled after 4 episodes, they'll improve upon the concept.

Edlund's writing tonight's episode, so that's probably worth watching for anyone on the fence.

Shit, I forgot about this completely. Am I going to miss much jumping in at this episode?

the OC is so fucking terrible this season I can barely stay awake until the end of it, let alone watch something afterward

milo, no. there have only been a couple of episodes.

two weeks pass...
Tonight's episode was actually pretty good. So the show is getting better, but I fear not fast enough to save it from cancellation.
