I'll go first:

CSI -- Marg H's character.

Raymond Cummings (Raymond Cummings), Friday, 21 January 2005 16:23 (twenty-one years ago)

CSI has characters?

Jarlr'mai (jarlrmai), Friday, 21 January 2005 16:27 (twenty-one years ago)

I never liked Father Jack in Father Ted.

Ste (Fuzzy), Friday, 21 January 2005 16:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Nightline - Ted Koppel

Huk-L, Friday, 21 January 2005 16:30 (twenty-one years ago)

saffy.

cathy berberian (Jody Beth Rosen), Friday, 21 January 2005 16:30 (twenty-one years ago)

If I watched Will and Grace, I'd say the two annoying supporting characters. I mean, this might be an otherwise fine show if not for the wise-cracking side characters. Or, it might still suck.

Beverly Hillbillies - comic genious, but I never cared for the Ellie May character.

dave225 (Dave225), Friday, 21 January 2005 16:32 (twenty-one years ago)

zara on hollyoaks and mo slater on eastenders.

lauren (laurenp), Friday, 21 January 2005 16:32 (twenty-one years ago)

actually, i think most ppl on eastenders annoy me but i watch it anyway like a pathetic addict.

lauren (laurenp), Friday, 21 January 2005 16:33 (twenty-one years ago)

i'm warning you now, giving that show up for good is some deep frozen turkey

Stevem On X (blueski), Friday, 21 January 2005 16:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Sam or is it Mark who's now co-hosting with lovely Fern on TotP Saturday. For the love of love, WHY?

David Merryweather (DavidM), Friday, 21 January 2005 16:36 (twenty-one years ago)

i only watch Eastenders in the hope of some mobster plot, lacking since big mitch got sent down.

Ste (Fuzzy), Friday, 21 January 2005 16:38 (twenty-one years ago)

there's one shaping up now. it looks like andy is going to get done for paul's murder and hopefully sent off the show.

lauren (laurenp), Friday, 21 January 2005 16:39 (twenty-one years ago)

If I watched Will and Grace, I'd say the two annoying supporting characters.

Actually Grace is the reason I can't watch Will and Grace. She's like some stringy insecure Lucille Ball without the brains. I can't stand her. At least the others are bitchily amusing.

God, I wish I could give up Stenders. But I can't.

it looks like andy is going to get done for paul's murder and hopefully sent off the show

But, but, I love Andy. He's the only thing I really like on it at the moment. He's so mean!

accentmonkey (accentmonkey), Friday, 21 January 2005 16:41 (twenty-one years ago)

The Sopranos - Janice annoys the tits off me; (fuck I can't remember his name) the Joe Pantoliano character is genuinely creepatronic.

6 Feet Under - The Russian; Brenda; Brenda's brother. Ugh.

Markelby (Mark C), Friday, 21 January 2005 16:41 (twenty-one years ago)

Alan Davies on QI. His enthusistic dope shtick really gets on my wick. I wish he would shut his trap once in a while.

David Merryweather (DavidM), Friday, 21 January 2005 16:45 (twenty-one years ago)

I can cope with small doses but Homer-centric Simpson's episodes do nothing for me. I'm not very keen on slapstick.

Anna (Anna), Friday, 21 January 2005 16:49 (twenty-one years ago)

Anna otm, also barney falls under that same slapstick umbrella for me.

Ste (Fuzzy), Friday, 21 January 2005 16:50 (twenty-one years ago)

I find that a lot of the minor Simpsons characters have outrageous voices (particular Hank Azaria's ones) which are very funny for a line or two, but get really irritating when there's a whole episode built around them. Except for Mo. Mo rocks.

accentmonkey (accentmonkey), Friday, 21 January 2005 16:54 (twenty-one years ago)

Scrubs: if JD's narration counts as a separate character, god it ruins every episode

Stevem On X (blueski), Friday, 21 January 2005 16:54 (twenty-one years ago)

an episode of The Simpsons without any of the Simpsons in it i would probably find preferable. perhaps they will do that soon.

Stevem On X (blueski), Friday, 21 January 2005 16:55 (twenty-one years ago)

Mike from the Young Ones

Miles Finch, Friday, 21 January 2005 16:56 (twenty-one years ago)

Ha, I can't believe I didn't see that one coming.

Ste (Fuzzy), Friday, 21 January 2005 16:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Crooked Teeth from Alias. And Sydney sometimes, also.

Leeeter van den Hoogenband (Leee), Friday, 21 January 2005 17:22 (twenty-one years ago)

I dont think Chris from Family Guy has ever had a funny line in the history of the show.

Juan, the Magic Don (jingleberries), Friday, 21 January 2005 17:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Hi, My name's Luke and I was born on Valentines Day! My favourite music is Jack Johnson and my favourite actress is Julia Roberts.
I love the movie Notting Hill.

I ruin the big arvo and take away potential screentime from Nellie's potential husband, Ben.

Hi, I'm ben and I'm the HAWT. I once picked up a rubber chicken and said 'you complete me'. It also looks like I wear eye liner.

Nellie (nellskies), Saturday, 22 January 2005 13:39 (twenty-one years ago)

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Saturday, 22 January 2005 14:51 (twenty-one years ago)

Mike from the Young Ones

Funny that. I would've said The Balowski Family.

Pleasant Plains /// (Pleasant Plains ///), Saturday, 22 January 2005 15:06 (twenty-one years ago)

Mrs Mills in Judge John Deed. What does he see in her?

Alix has no life (blueski), Saturday, 22 January 2005 19:32 (twenty-one years ago)

Spencer Chow was in Daria? (XP)

joe suzuki-san (deangulberry), Saturday, 22 January 2005 19:34 (twenty-one years ago)

I second whoever said Sam (or was it Mark) from Saturday TOTP - I assume we're talking about the pig-faced northern one rather than the Brummie one, anyway. The guy can't move properly, is embarrassingly inept, and is so OBVIOUSLY there just because he comes as a 'package' with his fellow talent-show reject, one cover-hit wonder partner (who, to be fair, does looks like he could have a future as a Beeb-lite presenter).

darren (darren), Saturday, 22 January 2005 19:48 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh, and I love MOTD but can't bear to hear Motty any more. Am I alone in that ? His chuckle, his palliness and his knowing 'Mottiness' have become wearing catchphrases like that of a moribund 70s comic. And he's the sort of man who can say without irony, in 2005, that the female Exeter physiotherapist's imminent appearance on the field of play in last Wednesday's cup-tie meant 'mm, I think we may be in for a bit of glamour now, Mark !'

darren (darren), Saturday, 22 January 2005 19:53 (twenty-one years ago)

And he STILL can't tell the black players apart.

darren (darren), Saturday, 22 January 2005 19:53 (twenty-one years ago)

god tsara hollyoaks is abominable!

cozen (Cozen), Saturday, 22 January 2005 20:37 (twenty-one years ago)

she is a velociraptor!

cozen (Cozen), Saturday, 22 January 2005 20:38 (twenty-one years ago)

Dawn/Riley from Buffy, Connor from Angel.

lupine lupin (lupinelupin), Saturday, 22 January 2005 21:56 (twenty-one years ago)

A TV channel instead of a TV show: I love VH1 Classic, but please, dear God, someone take Eddie Trunk off that channel! Or, at the very least, relegate him to the "metal" show, where he can go ruin the hair band fans' viewing experiences.
