I just got woken up by security and my RA who were looking for one of my hallmates who has gone missing for nearly a week. Apparently he hasn't shown up at events he was supposed to! My RA came to me first because I'm the only person on the floor he's friendly with. As I talked with her and security, some stories he had told started to unravel -- I am suspicious if his supposed girlfriend (whom they wanted to talk to) even exists any more. I feel kind of bad because this kid doesn't seem to have a lot of friends and confides in me sometimes and I think he's kind of obnoxious. It seems like he tried to be hyper involved in student groups to make up for his lack of social grace. This whole thing has a real twilight zone feel to it.
