I like to imagine they make these with a live chicken and a cheese grater.

n/a (Nick A.), Wednesday, 10 August 2005 20:44 (twenty years ago)

Kinda weird, but they look tasty.

Dr. Glen Y. Abreu (dr g), Wednesday, 10 August 2005 20:44 (twenty years ago)

I prefer to call them chicken fuckers after I got them as a promo and realized that they are the size of my pinkie finger. The commercial is one of the most wretched things I have ever seen in my life.

jocelyn (Jocelyn), Wednesday, 10 August 2005 20:45 (twenty years ago)

they sound GOOOOD

BOB YOUR HEAD

jocelyn (Jocelyn), Wednesday, 10 August 2005 20:48 (twenty years ago)

It's weird that it seems okay to call something a "chicken finger" when it doesn't resemble a finger, but it's odd to use that tern for something more finger shaped.

Dr. Glen Y. Abreu (dr g), Wednesday, 10 August 2005 20:49 (twenty years ago)

these are pretty much just mini-chicken-fingers right?

s1ocki (slutsky), Wednesday, 10 August 2005 20:52 (twenty years ago)

NO THEY ARE CHICKEN FRIES

n/a (Nick A.), Wednesday, 10 August 2005 20:54 (twenty years ago)

CHICKEN SLIVERS

Dr. Glen Y. Abreu (dr g), Wednesday, 10 August 2005 20:56 (twenty years ago)

They are..weird. Like nuggets but spicier and more chicken-y.

jocelyn (Jocelyn), Wednesday, 10 August 2005 20:58 (twenty years ago)

Isn't it weird that Americans say "chicken fingers" but fish fingers are "fish sticks"? These fries should be called CHICKEN STIXX.

jaymc (jaymc), Wednesday, 10 August 2005 20:58 (twenty years ago)

chick-o-stix? that's what we call peanut butter candy:

First time I saw the commercial I thought for sure it was some satirical sketch show.

oops (Oops), Wednesday, 10 August 2005 21:01 (twenty years ago)

Dr. Glen Y. Abreu (dr g), Wednesday, 10 August 2005 21:08 (twenty years ago)

Can someone tell me what this commercial is?

jaymc (jaymc), Wednesday, 10 August 2005 21:08 (twenty years ago)

Also, why is peanut butter candy called Chick-O-Stick? Where does the "chick" come from?

jaymc (jaymc), Wednesday, 10 August 2005 21:09 (twenty years ago)

The wrapper is made of chickens.

Dr. Glen Y. Abreu (dr g), Wednesday, 10 August 2005 21:14 (twenty years ago)

Truckdrivin' Buddha (Rock Hardy), Thursday, 11 August 2005 01:36 (twenty years ago)

Also, why is peanut butter candy called Chick-O-Stick? Where does the "chick" come from?

The candy known as Chick-O-Stick was originally going to be named "Chicken Bones" because the creators of the candy thought it looked like bones off a chicken, but then thought otherwise and decided to name it Chick-O-Stick. It actually has more than just peanut butter in it, too -- it has coconut and little tiny pieces of other bits of Chick-O-Stick in it, all for texture and added flavor. (Thank you, Food Network & "Unwrapped".)

The Edge Of America (Dee the Lurker), Thursday, 11 August 2005 01:39 (twenty years ago)

ok but why is it named mr goodbar

huell howser (chaki), Thursday, 11 August 2005 01:44 (twenty years ago)

Chick-O-Sticks are great, esp. for people like me who love coconut but don't particularly care for the chocolate that usually goes with it. (Mounds, Almond Joy, etc.)
