Tyra Banks devotes her talk show to proving her breasts are real
NEW YORK (AP) — Talk about keeping it real.
Model-turned-host Tyra Banks underwent a televised sonogram on her new talk show to prove that her breasts aren’t fake.
“I’m tired of this rumour. It’s something that’s followed me forever,” the supermodel said Tuesday on The Tyra Banks Show.
After Banks asked the men in the audience to leave, Dr. Garth Fisher, from ABC’s Extreme Makeover, performed a touch test and then the sonogram. He concluded: “Tyra Banks has natural breasts; there are no implants.”
“By no means am I saying a breast implant is a bad thing, but it’s not a choice that I made,” the 31-year-old model said.
“But it’s something that a lot of the public ... think that I have, and that’s so frustrating for me.”
Banks, who models for Victoria’s Secret, also displayed how her push-up bra exaggerated her body. However, Banks said she’s not totally real.
“I got fake hair, y’all. I got fake eyelashes.”
The hour-long show was, as Banks declared, “all about breasts!” It also featured lessons on proper bra fitting and an appearance by a slimmed-down Anna Nicole Smith.
Aside from her syndicated daytime talk show, Banks also hosts America’s Next Top Model.

Wait, what, Ally? Maybe I don't spend enough time looking at models' asses and thighs -- she's always struck me as tall and sticky, like no soft spots apart from the breasts. I guess I'll have to be more observant.

Luna, I think she got the show because she'd get all talk-show-hosty already on Next Top Model, all up counseling the models and introducing them to her mom and giving all that "I'm just an everyday girl" advice; I can see how someone might have thought that'd work for a show. It won't, but I can see how someone might have thought it. The only Tyra-moment I can recall liking on the model show is when they went to Japan and her brother came by with his Japanese wife and family and had dinner with all the models -- there was something weird and un-TV-like about the way no one tried to introduce them or slot them into some narrative or make it some kind of special-appearance moment. She was just like "hey, everyone, this is my brother and his family, grub on down."
