Haha, I think you've gotten a bit of a wrong idea about Finland: it's not the whole country that's ultra-liberal, it's more like me and my friends. I think you'd find, say, Sweden more liberal than Finland. Also, I think it's a matter of sheer population size: with only 5 million people there simply isn't a call or a niche for every possible subculture.
