i had a dream about an artist who created photos by surgically inserting metal objects of varying shapes and sizes into her body, and then X-raying herself at just the right angle to achieve -- and this is the phrase that was in my dream -- a provocative conjunction of metalbodies -- i swear i must have written about it here before!

my mom once brought home a "swallow study" video of one of her therapy kids.
