Misunderstandings

I've been in the middle of two today,and I'm dreading the third(this thread mebbe, I don't write shit this long). So I'm at work and I all of a sudden get a email from G-$p0t News, for some reason I didn't put two and two together(I've had like 5 hours of sleep the last 48 hours + I never get spam at work, among other excuses) and totally got pwned by this cheesy porn spam right as a co-worker came around the cubicle(a guy thank god, and the porn ws so cheesy the girl had on lingerie also thank god except now not only do I look like a "pervert" but a ridiculously lightweight one at that). I let too much time pass to be able to "explain" without looking like a simpering twit, that my synapses fried + it's an email not a website + it's during the course of my job etc. so I just had to play it off and talk to him like this racy lady wasn't sprawled out on my screen. Ok so that explains itself.
then a few minutes later, I have to call a business associate to get another dude's number, and the business associate gives me the number but admonishes me not to talk to "dude" about some mutual business that might affect "dude" adversely(i'm not backstabbing or anything, it's a long story). Anyway I assure him "oh no, I'm not even talking to him" and the guy chuckles and later it dawns on me he thinks I meant "we're on the outs and I'm not talking to him". I meant I'm getting the phone number for someone else but if "business associate" ever lets it slip to "dude" that I don't like him I certainly will look like a backstabber if certain things(out of my control) come to pass.

I don't really care that much in either instance my karma's ok or whatever but is there anything more annoying than this? By 'this' I don't mean the story.
