I was going to say "but it's so obviously a FAKE!!!" but that is the point - that it was in authentically faked as an anachronistic alien. (Though honestly, isn't the "wrapped in the Daily Mail from 1947" enough of a tip-off?)

The 'experts' say it was done in the 60s. But who'd keep a copy of the Daily Mail for 20 years with the intention of making a clay alien look more authentic?

Aliens must be on an inverse time line to the rest of us. How else could they have changed from green to grey during the same decade colour television became popular?
