Can you think of a way the world could end that's not detailed on the chilling Exit Mundi site?

How could I resist opening a thread called "Eschatology"? I couldn't. Turns out to be a thread to drum up traffic to a web site. What a letdown.

I've heard you'd click on anything.

Most of that site is just rehashing of old paranoia anyway. For Cthulhu's sake dude, how about something new?

Now I can't sleep because I'm thinking of pudding.

What is eschatology, anyway? e-scatology?

I've got an SF anthology at home called Bangs & Whimpers: Stories About the End of the World that's got some interesting stories along this theme. One amusing one has a man standing at his window watching the sunset, when a huge Terry Gilliam-esque hand reaches over the horizon and turns off the sun like a lightbulb. The rest of the story has him trying to explain to his skeptical wife and dinner guests what he saw, with the latter noticing at the end of the story that it's gotten noticeably colder since they arrived.
