This word just came flaming back to me like a fire demon in Doom from my earliest childhood memories..

A "brocade" is a video game arcade that is/was usually very small, like one at a gas station nearby where one lives, where one would normally hang out with his brahs and broheems at.. compete with each other to see who could beat the High Score, etc.

This is really fucking stupid, but I can't stop saying "brocade" and not laugh my fucking head off.

usually very shitty games too, but it was close by, so the games were awesome by definition.. usually dig dug or phoenix or some lame ass chip set of galaga that made all the bees dive down at you and shit little arrows on you at Stage 2 or some bullshit like that..

My brocade would have two (2) machines: 1942 and Tekken 2 with a broken Player Two joystick, meaning the only way to compete is by seeing who can beat the game the fastest and on the same quarter. Just like the donut shop across the street from my old high school.
