pf, it's this place on frith street where you can hire out a room for like 6-12 people, and sing karaoke. Basically. The rooms are quite small, i think that's why it's called "box" but i don't know if that's 100% true.

advantage being you get to sing more as you don't have to share with random strangers like you do in a pub. but you get less of an audience. it's like a private gig.

i think maximum in this place is 12. first come first served!

I went there like 2 months ago and it was fun, and you can order warm saki at a fairly reasonable price!!

last time i went as a 6 ppl group it worked out to £8 per person - I'd imagine for a bigger group it'd be slightly cheaper, slightly.

nice! i'm going to have to phone up like soon to find out what kind of booking arrangements i can arrange. are there preferences as to date and time? (i guess weekends fri/sat nights will be preferable? but i presume it'd be the hardest to book)

although, last night, robster and i and a couple of non-ilx0rs went to the new karaoke booths at Bloomsbury Bowling and it was alright.. £40 an hour for the small room which fitted 6 ppl quite comfortably. with a window with the view to bowling balls flying across the lanes.

but no sake. and the song selection wasn't as good as the frith st. place.
