Help me name my 'zine

On behalf of a group of writers in the Manchester area, I am (hopefully) going to be producing a quarterly 'zine containing short fiction, poetry and occasional articles and interviews. The baby needs a name.

I have to produce a shortlist on which to poll the membership, but I'd like to know what the general public will make of the suggestions that they've made (there are so many in-jokes in here that I'm finding it hard to step back and evaluate them objectively).

Here's the long-shortlist:

Wordcore

Clock Soup

Virus

Venus In Jam

Urban Salad

Northern Accents

Mancunian Ways

Subterrania

The Northern Quarterly (ok, there is an area of Manchester called the Northern Quarter - our readership would know that - sadly we aren't based there)

Short Cuts

My personal favourite is Hug Sluts but I think that's going to have to wait for me to get another band together...

So, any opinions? Any of these jump out at you as something you would pick up and spend a quid on? Feel free to suggest alternatives, only know this: I already have a headache and you will be making it worse. :)

One of the reasons Hug Sluts *is* good is because it contains Slug Huts (I keep mis-saying it and it makes me giggle) Still think I'm keeping that for another project though.

two months pass...

As the first call for submissions has gone out, I thought I'd update y'all (not that anyone gives a toss) - the mag will be called Pipeline. We decided on an unobtrusive name as each issue will have its own title. Boring, hm, but this is a literary review / revue, not an undergraduate lark. (bummer)

On the upside, launch party now in planning stages \o/
