A machine that can be used to make the same sort of "amoeba" style light patterns that I'm familiar with through videos of the Velvet Underground playing at various Warhol functions.
I'm just not sure what to look for, and whether or not this is something I can still find.
I'm really not interested in the popular party lights that have, for instance, the colored circles about a ball with a light inside.
I'm imagining a much more dynamic and strange effect.
