Being as old as several hills put together, of course I recall the vile stuff.

I believe it first came out in a tiny bottle that would drip out one or two drops that you would aim at your tongue. Using the drip-bottle required you to tilt your head back, gape your jaws, protrude your tongue and generally look like a feeb. The spray bottle was, by comparison, much swanker.
