Well actually, 4.6 women out of a study of 46 'thought "no strings" sex was acceptable'.

It depends on how you get your sample.

Ask 46 women knocking around Bigg Market on a friday night, your ratio may be different.

The 4.6 was weak joke on my part - they say 10%...I guess someone couldn't make up their mind.

Also the sample is from 23 to 83 which is going throw your figures as well isn't it?

I can't really see how they can come to (m)any conclusions from this but I'm not a statisician or a psychologist.

I wonder what "interviewed in depth" actually means. Mabe they just gave them a questionnaire that said: one night stands are a) immoral b) fine by me c) totally cool

There is a big difference between thinking something is 'immoral' and a bad idea/nasty. I'm not convinced that this survey separated the two.

really though, even the 'nicest' and most 'proper' and 'upstanding' girls probably engage in casual, or should i say, 'immoral sex' themselves. in fact, i think its easier and therefore probably more common for the 'nice girls' to be having a bit of casual sex here and there than for 'nice guys' as women are just propositioned more so its easier for them to get it.

its like that docu there was on bb1 a few months back when the women were really quite upset at having to divulge how many partners they REALLY had, as they didnt - understandably - want to look like cheap whores. but straight men arent having casual sex all over the place on their own. and the village/town whore can only shag SO many...
