six months pass...
one would expect that i'd remember starting this thread, but i have zero recollection of doing so. quite WHY i started it is an even bigger mystery, and, to be perfectly honest, it's scaring the shit out of me.

i refuse, purely because you're not in my friends list. i have 28 friends now, which is pretty rofflicious - i doubt i could name half that many RL friends.

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 30 October 2006 14:48 (nineteen years ago)

that's an ATPFAP.
a GKITFAP would be completely different! fewer jazz beards, but more pwnage.

teh_kit returns! (g-kit), Monday, 30 October 2006 14:52 (nineteen years ago)

It's a GKITATPFAP!

(I do not have a jazz beard. Nor any other sort of beard)

GKITATATPFAP

ONIMO's pet donkey jacket potato (GerryNemo), Monday, 30 October 2006 15:02 (nineteen years ago)

i am cultivating a beard for jazz-shaping in december.

teh_kit returns! (g-kit), Monday, 30 October 2006 15:09 (nineteen years ago)

Should Neil grow a beard too? Are they compulsory? I feel a bit out of the ATP loop these days.

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 30 October 2006 15:11 (nineteen years ago)

lol? like i'm the the ATP loop. at any given ATP, i have generally only heard of two (2) bands, and i don't like one of those.
the beard thing was BS, too. i am going to attend as a clean-shaven young lad, so i will appear friendly, approachable and sociable. that way, i can disappoint the largest number of people. huzzah?

teh_kit returns! (g-kit), Monday, 30 October 2006 15:19 (nineteen years ago)

I was trying to be funny. It evidently didn't work.

This year I like approximately 3 bands that are playing, and have only heard of about 5 more. However at Bowlie I liked approximately 8000, and only saw 4 of them, so this ratio does not worry me as I shall mostly be driving go-karts and getting drunk.

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 30 October 2006 15:22 (nineteen years ago)

i only go to these places so i can meet internet mentalists (at every ATP i've attended!), be insulted by them (only at one), let teh_kat run around with rock stars (only once, again), see Shellac (lost count) and use phrases like PIZZA CASTLE (three or four).

i only saw Sleater-Kinney at Bowlie. i drank WAY too much that weekend.

teh_kit returns! (g-kit), Monday, 30 October 2006 15:25 (nineteen years ago)

i think Aldo would look foxy with a beard, btw.

teh_kit returns! (g-kit), Monday, 30 October 2006 15:29 (nineteen years ago)

I saw the Divine Comedy. They were utterly shite and I missed the Flaming Lips into the bargain. Bah. Other bands I saw = Belle and Sebastian, Teenage Fanclub, the Delgados (i.e the band I went to see, and everyone that was on the first night). I saw a wee bit of Mercury Rev. I might have stumbled across Mogwai at some point. I can't remember. I was VERY VERY VERY drunk all weekend, as a lot of people on ILX could probably testify if they hadn't all been very very drunk as well.

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 30 October 2006 15:31 (nineteen years ago)

fuck, all those bands were there?
i'm a fucking twat.

teh_kit returns! (g-kit), Monday, 30 October 2006 15:32 (nineteen years ago)

i like that i was there with a load of ilx0rs and didn't realise til just now.

teh_kit returns! (g-kit), Monday, 30 October 2006 15:32 (nineteen years ago)

that was before i 'discovered' ILX, obv.

teh_kit returns! (g-kit), Monday, 30 October 2006 15:33 (nineteen years ago)

Me too. They were "people off Sinister" then.

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 30 October 2006 15:38 (nineteen years ago)

actually, i did know that the DC were there, because my friend called Hannon a "little cunt with a massive head" and i didn't sop laughing for 36 hours.

teh_kit returns! (g-kit), Monday, 30 October 2006 15:40 (nineteen years ago)

so, at what point do get to establish thread rules?
