I was sure this thread was going to be about Matos's dumb ex-stepfather's stories being turned into a screenplay. But alas, it's April 1 somewhere in the world.

See Me, Repeat Me (Dee the Lurker), Saturday, 1 April 2006 01:49 (twenty years ago)

Now that's a great idea, who would play him though?

dr lulu (dr lulu), Saturday, 1 April 2006 01:55 (twenty years ago)

(Correction: That'd be "Matos's dumb ex-stepfather stories". I put in one too many "'s" there.)

Anyway, when I read those stories I always imagined Chris as being a lot like David Spade in Joe Dirt, or maybe Adam Sandler in The Waterboy. So how's about we investigate the rosters of (obv male) ex-SNL members from the mid '90s and see which one fits best? Young Matos could be played by an unknown. But who to play Mama Matos....

I'd like a combo of gear's couch, the guy on the roof looking like he was going to jump, and that one where someone nicked the guy's car alarm that wouldn't stop going off. It could star Adam Sandler, Ben Stiller and Pauly Shore as the car alarm.
