Dudes, What Concerts Are You Going To This Summer?

I miss summer concerts. I used to go to so many. I did see Etta James last weekend. That was awesome.

I am going to the Bar Review Class Concert, followed by the Bar Exam Concert, followed by the Sleep for Week Concert.

I have been to those concerts! They suuuuuck. No actually, they're not all that bad. But Monastic Bar Review Preparation Concert with opener Number 2 Pencil is pretty bad.

I realized recently that all those years of being underage and wanting see 21+ shows in Chicago conditioned me to not even check out who's playing in Chicago.

I should change that.

I'm thinking about Nine Inch Nails & Bauhaus, but I'm not really too excited by that idea. I saw Bauhaus a few years ago, and it was a bit of a letdown - but I've heard that they're sounding good these days?

I see nothing else coming to town.... sucky schedule so far.

Oh man, the idea of conquering my fear of flying to see Poison appeals! It would make for a great documentary film, way better than anything that lamer M0rg@n Spur10ck could come up with. He really kinda annoys me, it was that minimum wage thing he did, where he was moaning about hurting his wrists and going to hospital every other day, I know he was making an importnat point, but really. Anyway, I digress.

8/10 Bloc Party/Mew @ Stubb's in Austin, TX. Yes, I'm driving from Winnipeg to Austin in August to see Bloc Party. It's Mew I want to see more than Bloc Party, but regardless, I may be crazy.

I wanna go see Camera Obscura in Minneapolis in July but I don't think I can afford to go. Poopy.

Has anyone ever been to ACL fest? I've only heard bad things about the experience but want to take my brother to see Gnarls Barkley for his birthday. don't want to buy that damn 3-day pass though.
