It is a little unusual for someone to shoot up *while driving*, right?

Someone I know has family who were in an accident caused by someone doing just that. (Fortunately everyone else except the driver who was shooting up was able to walk away from the crash.)

Didn't Jason Mewes get arrested some years back for similar? The cops pulled him over cos he was so out of it the air bag had deployed and he hadnt noticed and kept driving.

i would still argue that it's unusual - i have peered through the windows of many thousands of cars in my life and have seen people smoking, eating, having sex, etc but i've never seen anyone do this. That's not to say it doesn't happen ('cos clearly...) but you're more likely to be hit by an idiot driving badly for some other reason.

once in NYC i walked past a parked car and spied the driver "getting off" in this fashion. pretty gross, like watching somebody get a BJ.

wouldn't the mechanics of shooting up -- tying off, finding a vein etc -- preclude being able to get a hit while driving?
