So I am gonna be down in LA this weekend (actually arriving on Thursday) and I'd be up for a FAP (without much drinking for me cuz the idea of driving even the remotist bit tipsy in LA scares the bejesus out of me.) Anyone want to meet up?

Also I am going to probably going to be heading to Amoeba on Thursday afternoon for a couple of hours (will probably go straight from the airport heh.) Any suggestions on cheap eats around there? Also any other record stores I need to check out? And I here there are good things at the museums (LACMA or LA MOCA or MA COAL or AM COLA or whatever the fuck) so I will probably hit them up (will also check Flavorpill tomorrow) but is anything else going on. Thanks!

Oh the FAP'll probably have to be on Friday night!

Alex in SF (Alex in SF), Tuesday, 6 June 2006 14:36 (twenty years ago)

Ah, would love to be in on this but I already have plans for Friday, and the rest of the weekend is pretty well booked too. Will catch you another time!

There's a few good spots around Amoeba within walking distance -- any favored cuisine or anything goes?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 6 June 2006 14:39 (twenty years ago)

Anything goes.

Very predictable answer from the Bruin alumni (though I don't especially feel like dealing with the West Side commute as of the moment).

My generally-correct friend swears that the Hungry Cat (located in the complex w. Borders & Baja Fresh) is surprisingly good.

remy (x Jeremy), Wednesday, 7 June 2006 22:12 (twenty years ago)

I heard that same thing today.

account (account), Wednesday, 7 June 2006 22:20 (twenty years ago)

steve do you like any suchi in the sfv?

chaki (chaki), Thursday, 8 June 2006 00:57 (twenty years ago)

yes! there is a secret spot in Canoga Park that is incredible, quality as good as urasawa at 1/3 of the price (still hardly a bargain but hey, it's that good). i can't talk about it in public though because it is superduper underground and the owner could not care less about drumming up more business. send me an email though if you're interested.

Steve Shasta (Steve Shasta), Thursday, 8 June 2006 04:14 (twenty years ago)

So you're saying SHASTAFAP.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 8 June 2006 04:15 (twenty years ago)

I am FAPPING 24/7. Everybody's invited!
