Just thinking about Little Man some more made me realize that there was a much better time.

"Good lord! That's a lot of money!"

Kim Wayans singing "When the Saints Go Marching In" is, for me, one of the funniest moments in cinematic history.

That and Isaac Hayes faking karate. Hi-larious.

"Damn. Too many guns."

...he started wearing gold chains!

OH GOD NO!

Sorry, the correct answer is Hollywood Shuffle, which maybe created the genre mock-blaxploition.

"Go ahead. Make my day."
"MAKE MY DAY?! DO 50 BULLETS IN YOUR ASS 'MAKE YOUR DAY'?"

Hunter (Hunter), Wednesday, 19 July 2006 15:36 (nineteen years ago)

Hollywood Shuffle is a fine fine film. And Robert Townsend appears in Gonna briefly, so all is well. ;-)

Buried in the credits:

Marlon Wayans .... Pedestrian
Shawn Wayans .... Pedestrian

From such small acorns.

My favorite sight gag, fish shoes aside, has to be Bernie Casey prepping up the Shaft-style swing-through-a-window thing. Cut to inside of building, thudding sound heard from the outside wall...

Was Hollywood Shuffle where DON "NO SOUL" SIMMONS came from? It's been so so very long since I've seen it.

deej.. (deej..), Wednesday, 19 July 2006 15:43 (nineteen years ago)

Also, how did I forget Fishbone are in the film?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 19 July 2006 15:44 (nineteen years ago)

haha Hollywood Shuffle is awesome.

"You stabbeded me!"

Shakey Mo Collier (Shakey Mo Collier), Wednesday, 19 July 2006 15:45 (nineteen years ago)

Every film mentioned so far is a stone-cold classic.

I absolutely, thoroughly miss the days when the Wayans were interested in being smart about their dumb humor.

Jesus Dan (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 19 July 2006 15:57 (nineteen years ago)

(It's somewhat telling that sticking to rote sitcom humor has by default caused Damon to cement his position as The Funniest Wayans Brother.)

Jesus Dan (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 19 July 2006 15:58 (nineteen years ago)

Dan OTM - post-Living Color the Wayans seem to have really lost any aspirations to anything sharp or interesting.

"Low Down Dirty Shame" was enjoyable.

kingfish cyclopean ice cream (kingfish 2.0), Wednesday, 19 July 2006 16:38 (nineteen years ago)

not to mention that "little man" is basically just the "babyface finster" bugs bunny episode turned into a full-length movie.

Eisbär (llamasfur), Wednesday, 19 July 2006 16:53 (nineteen years ago)

omg so true

Shakey Mo Collier (Shakey Mo Collier), Wednesday, 19 July 2006 19:22 (nineteen years ago)

It's been mentioned in other reviews.

OK, I'll admit it. I keep seeing those Little Man ads, and I kind of want to see it. I know I probably will hate it, but still...
Probably will catch on DVD some day.

and yes that was Amazon Women on the Moon with the great David Allen Grier playing Donnie No Soul Simmons.
