The Big Picture - Art Shops C/D?

We have one in our town. I can't work out how they make any money. Half the paintings are of ugly cartoon cows or pop-art made from Little Britain Andy & Lou and these things cost something like £600! Who is buying this crap?

Seriously, even the house witht he worst taste ever wouldn't splash out half a grand to stick these monstrosities up in their houses. Are the buyers hoping the paintings will accumulate kitsch noughties value in 20 years time? I can't see their price going up. I will search for pics in a mo.
