being atrocious at making job applications/career standstills

i posted this in ILM by mistake so hey, lets do it again!

ive been at my job (which i no longer really tend to like talking about and cant even be bothered to try and talk up anymore, i just focus on the most neutral aspects of it now and leave it brief) for about 4 years, and now i cant seem to make myself even do job applications or covering letters, and just dont know what on earth i want to do with myself career wise, so am in this state of never ending limbo. i dont know if i should do more courses (they will cost more money), just apply randomly for more jobs which i dont really imagine getting much of a response from, or just stick it out and get bored shitless at my current post. or i could just quit, as ive been considering, and do a temping job, which would be more money, but probably not the best thing to do in your late 20s. i really have no idea where i want to go anymore. anyway, before i get carried away, whats a good way to get yourself on the job applying track again? im starting to think im not really a career minded person after all and would be happy just to sit on a farm and look after animals (this would be work as well of course but n/m)

Randomly apply for new jobs. Esp if the apps are online, it's easy: just a lot of copying & pasting of the resume.

Or buy a bunch of baby ducks and a wooden staff and herd them around the office.
